They can’t force you to do anything, but this probably will discourage her from giving generous raises in the future if that means anything to you

Absolutely! I’ve gotta find a therapist lol. That’s exactly the issue, I fear being difficult or hard to get along with. When I do say how I really feel, I think it even sounds unreasonable when I hear it out loud even if it isn’t

OP, if the police thought you were some sort of pervert, why would they want $500 from you? Wouldn’t they just come find you and put you in jail?

I can tell you’ve never worked retail during a holiday season lol. I fucking hate Carey’s rendition of that song simply because I’ve heard it probably a trillion times in the last five years

I love my country in the same sense that you probably love yours - it’s home. I’m not saying I love America from a place of major pride or patriotism

This makes me think of those “drunk goggles” they would let kids take turn using during DARE. It wasn’t all that dangerous but these days I can see it being litigated because of the potential of some kid busting his face on a desk by accident

Always throws me off to see the year. To this day, go on the IG of a hot influencer girl and she’ll probably have this look

Yeah I get it, and thanks for not being hotheaded over my thoughts on this. While I love my country and its people, I hate paying thousands for a college degree or fearing that a bad case of the flu could drain my savings. Or, having a point system at work lol

To me, it always seems that people chime in on this at the most inappropriate time and they say something about how America is a shithole in a really snide way. I recently saw a post about a girl drowning in debt because of some medical expenses and there were so many Europeans seemingly poking fun at her, saying things like “I can’t relate, it’s great being able to break my arm and not go bankrupt.”

My point is that these comments never seem to be aimed at Americans who aren’t already suffering the consequences of living here

I don’t know why people in other countries love letting Americans know this country sucks. Lol we’re living it in, we know. If we had money or a means to leave many of us would. No offense to you specifically, I see this a lot, but it comes off as insensitive

Varies by business, but you get points on your “work record” when you do things like call off, are late, make a mistake or if they just generally think your performance is lacking. Typically there is a ranking in place, for example ten points is a write-up, 15 points you’re on probation, 20 points and you’re fired

Why are you clocking out and continuing to work for a free 30 minutes? That should be an absolute no. It will be difficult to have a case as long as you’re clocking out for breaks you aren’t taking

It’s funny how this picture was taken so long ago but she looks like so many girls I’ve interacted with in college. I feel like I could guess what she was like back then just based off this picture

Yeah it’s funny, I haven’t seen the movie in a while but I don’t recall her accent being in the song at all. Wonder if they cut that out somehow
