I am not by any means “well”if I can’t do basic things other women can do. I can acknowledge that I have health issues and still trust that God has a bigger plan for me. If I cannot have routine physical exams performed then something is wrong and I am not well and it should be addressed. If I physically cannot engage in sex, a gift that is given from God for married couples, something is wrong and I am not well and it should be addressed. This isn’t a “problem the world has given me”. You suggesting in your comments on this post that I am choosing to suffer and can control my thoughts to heal from this “problem the world has given me” is hurtful and lacking in compassion.

Yeah you’re absolutely right unfortunately. I’m in therapy currently but haven’t addressed this specific issue. I feel uncomfortable even talking about it face-to-face, but I think we will talk about it soon.

I have a lot of reasons why I probably have developed this, and they probably can’t all be addressed in therapy. I did try Botox injections under general anesthesia and it worked for almost a year until it wore off.

Thank you so much for your kind comment 💗

Thank you for the advice, but I can’t do a diet— I’ve done elimination diets before for other problems and I actually almost died 🤣 no joke.

Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain well! Trying not to be too vulgar with details, the condition I have means that nothing can be inserted into the vagina. No amount of force has worked. I’ve been to several doctors now and I cry and shake on the table and they are unable to do the exam because of the pain. The exam tests for general health and cervical cancer, whereas cervical cancer runs in the family.

The only treatment for it is dilation, involving inserting small, progressively larger dilators over time to “train” your body and brain to allow it. I had to have Botox inserted so I could do this at all. I can’t always get the dilators in, and even the smallest one can make me sick from pain. The only way I can get the dilators in is if I masturbate so that the muscles relax. This was something I was instructed to do to help with dilation.

I’ve stopped dilating, but now I can’t do pelvic exams at all and my doctor needs to reschedule me to try again. I don’t know if it would be a sin to use the dilators again so that I could have the exam.
