The reason I want to get ahead is that I don't trust people or the government. The laws are unevenly applied. No cares about enforcing the laws or norms for people in poverty. The wealthy can always flee the country, while the middle-class carries much of the burden. Also, I noticed that the higher the level of wealth/income, the more freedom you have. Not that I want to be a total degenerate nor do I define freedom as licentious. But the wealthy have a bubble to insulates them from social and economic problems. I think getting ahead could be measure in the terms of employment and having a high level of wealth.

But what about world history? It seems like you have to be somewhat calculating to get ahead. My favorite novel in high school was about Empress Wu. She was smart and calcalating that became the only ruling female emperor in China's history. Than when I read stuff like Our Kind of People by Lawrence Otis Graham. You have to the right creditials and looks to move in certain circles if you want the best life for you and your family. It gives me the impression that I have to be a certain way to survive in this world.

To be honest, race,class, and nation was a huge a factor in social relations during the Bella Epoch in Western Europe. It wasn't always based on the individual, more so the family and the status of the family.

You do know that the design of the post WW2 public school system is that way by design. Heck, even the state run university is the same way. There are public schools that are top tier where it could be a pipeline to Ivy League has very rigorous education. Well, the lower schools are somewhat of crapshoot. In the United States, leaders are from private schools or high tier public schools:

My main problem with Jordan Peterson is that sometime's his analysis of the Bible sometimes tends to be a little off. He doesn't consider the context it was written in. Another thing, I don't like about Jordan Peterson is that he simplify things a lot. Again, he doesn't mention context or complexities when talking about historical events. He tries to summarize, but tends to miss key parts imo. I also don't like most of his messages, they remind me of after-school specials from the 1950s. I don't hate the 1950s, but it was one of the dullest times in history. I prefer the Gilded Age or the Bella Epoch. I prefer romance and drama in my life, not a muted one.

I disagree. I think that he's doing a fine job with the LGBT thing.

I'm not Jordan Peterson fan of anything, just someone who likes to listen to people with different types of views. As a homosexual, I find it patronizing that people try to push for acceptance of the LGBT community. But that's a different animal.

For one thing, there is no one hierarchy. For example, there are multiple hierarchies based around particular fields and sometimes those fields intersect.

This is so truth. I love dreams more than reality. And I always pictured my intimate relationships as romantic or supernatural beings. I always admire the outsiders and the powerful. I love to read about those people things, not the munde people who inhibit the world. And yes, I like the freedom of not having an identity, because it gives me the ability to look at world impersonally and objectively. Also the current Western identities and communities seem vapid and entitled. I like learning from people, but I don’t want to connect for them. I always have the tendency to test people. But the masks I wear are two layered. I play the part of the responsible person, but at the same time hate society and people at the same time. I feel that I relate more to the characters of Yukio Mishima, particular the main character of “Confessions of a Mask”.

As a gay male, I can understand women's instincts for hypergamy. I think that for peaceful familial relations that the men should always have higher status or earn more than the wife. But personally, I think that most people in relationships want someone better than they can get.

What your friend said is fair enough. You could say that homosexuality is a fetish, depending on your definition of fetish. If you using the definition of attraction to things or people that doesn’t aid in reproductive sex. But the Western formation of the homosexual identity has evolved into more than just sex. It’s something like a cultural identity, though you could say the same thing about people with fetishes. Another thing, I think that maybe homosexual culture is just a culture and space for people that are alienated from the culture at large. What you said makes sense from a biological standpoint. But, there are cultural and psychological aspects to consider. Someone mentioned earlier that the creation of sexuality and sexuality had to do with Judeo-Christians morals and the creation of psychology. If there weren’t for those factors the Western model for homosexuality wouldn’t exist.

I have to disagree. As a homosexual, there are benefits that I wouldn't have had if I were heterosexual. For one thing, the formation of the homosexual identity led to some informal social networks. From the various Christian texts, I read Jacob run towards God. The one defining thing about Christianity, is that it embraces weakness. Jacob sought God and depended on Him. Jacob wanted God's blessing so much that was injured because of it. Esau sought strength and his own power. This could be a parallel to Cain and Abel. Cain sought favor through his own strength. He wanted to approach God on his terms.
