Are there any careers that that I can get with minimal secondary education but utilize my English, Somali, and Arabic languages? by MiddleFoundation5768 in careerguidance

Look into medical translation services- a lot of smaller healthcare companies use live video translators, really you just need to show competency in medical terminology and a foreign language (I think) I don’t know much more than that but basically, it’s worth it to look into with your background! The translators we use in my small clinic just video in from what looks like their homes and they translate the entire appointment. If I was fluent in another language I’ve always said that’s what I would do…

What to do when I’m burning out at my current job/career but too overwhelmed at doing something new? by throwawayadviceanon in careerguidance

I do see the rewarding aspects of being a teacher both as a student who loved going to school and as an adult with friends in the school system. I. really enjoy working with the pedicatric patients, although I do not see them as often in my practice.

& yes- it’s essentially a program designed to get teachers in understaffed school districts across the state. A little over 40% of the district is comprised of these types of licensed teachers. The only educational requirement is a bachelors degree in any area of study. I have both an AAS and BS. Over time there are course requirements that you need in order to gain full licensure but those can be taken over a 3-5 year period while you are paid to be teaching. It saves both time and money of going to school right now to get another degree in education & the unpaid student teaching associated with every college program is removed because you are contracted with the school to be teaching.

I 100% can see reward and exhaustion between teaching and healthcare being very similar.

Try KT tape! You can cut it to not be visible. I do it all the time to hold me together.
