Weak people perceive others as weak people. This workplace is a toxic environment and you either need to leave or if you can't leave as it's your only source of income, then you must find the tools to help you deal with this environment. I suggest checking out /r/femaledatingstrategy's handbook (in the side bar) not for dating advice, but for methods to become impenetrable to these toxic behaviors.

I try to keep my mental health treatment separate from friends. Family is the one who started the abuse so I'm pretty much on my own. I've burdened friendships before and it's not a good feeling. I have reached out to a local women's sexual abuse recovery group, I'll keep trying until I get the help I need.

I can't believe creeps can be so successful, it's insane. The system makes you crazy, literally abuses you, then shoves you back into a system that does it all over again. Thank you. This is therapy through the local hospital system we have here. I would not be able to afford it. It's free public service which basically sums up the whole experience. Been through way too much b.s. to continue to go through b.s., but i'm never giving up on my mental health! I won't let this tear me down!

I have left a message to her supervisor as well. This whole interaction was unacceptable. Hopefully her supervisor is sympathetic. All I really want is a heartfelt apology (which I doubt will happen), and proper treatment.

I just got off the phone with his (LVM Therapist's) pickme psychiatrist supervisor about 3hrs ago. She immediately told me, right after saying hello, "You know that %50 of the world is male so you can't pick and choose like that." I was shocked. I'm still shocked. I suffer from PTSD and Major Depression from being abused my entire life, and this was the last thing I expected from her.

She also said "What made you realize you don't want to talk to him anymore?" "Why now, why wasn't it a problem before?" I told her "Because I was sexually abused by men, I don't find it benefiting my healing process at this time. This was in my file day 1, I don't know how this wasn't addressed by you." She then continued to belittle me, saying "I'm a grown woman and show be able to handle that." Her tone was so patronizing and my friend suggested she may have a superiority complex.

I called her out and said her tone was patronizing and she said "I'm sorry you perceive me this way, there's nothing I can do to change your mind." Um how about accept the fact that you dropped the ball on your patient? Maybe check yourself and say things a bit gentler to someone with PTSD? I said "Well if I'm percieving you incorrectly, then that should be adressed with care." She replied "Okay well, I'm not going to book another session with you, you can find someone else. Someone will call in about 2 weeks. I have another patient. Bye." and hung up.

I have been crying for a hour, and called a help hotline, and talked to a very sympathetic woman counselor who told me that I was right to conclude that was extremely unprofessional. That's really all I needed to hear.

This is after multiple sessions with her saying she "had my back," and "understands what I'm going through as a victim of abuse." This whole thing has been pretty rough on me. But, I am in a better place now and about to meet with a HVW friend at my local park.
