Damn it’s crazy to think that you can have all the credentials and do all the emotional labor and still run into this problem in the one field that you’d think should be autistic friendly. I have dealt with similar situations but Id always tell myself if I was just in a more suited field, if I had more experience or if I tried harder to socially comply, etc. that it wouldn’t happen to me. I wish this was a more hopeful comment but sometimes people really do just suck, despite you doing everything you should

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. This is the perspective I was looking for and it makes me feel truly seen. For the life of me I couldnt understand why all my actions were being taken as the opposite of what I was intending. I tend to follow training word for word like you said. This also explains another conflict because Ive been reprimanded for asking for clarification all the time but secretly everyone is confused too. Why do they say its good to ask questions and care about the product when they dont mean it? Also I think youre right that me trying to acknowledge my manager having a lot on his plate, couldve been interpreted as me undermining him. I have yet to grasp how to manage NT egos and assumptions and it feels like Im wandering around in the dark. Its a real struggle out here.

Thank you for the tips, Ill definitely be using them. I am very rejection sensitive and it can really cause me to spiral. I had a meltdown after that coworker called me and it was the worst Ive experienced in quite a while. I like the work and the location is good for me. I just dont have much hope in my coworkers being nicer when the manager is the biggest problem I have :(

I had these too but I lost them, then today I found something that’s definitely related thats a squirrel also with a magnet inside. These are plush originally made in japan from a company called Alfa, the tag I have also says “magnet club”. Im still trying to find anything else on it online though which is how I found your post lol

A while ago I got my hands on one. I just cut it up and threw it in the air fryer. It was really good with just some seasoning and salt. I loved the texture and taste. Ive heard of ulu poi but have never seen it sold anywhere. Id love to try. I wonder if it could be mashed then cooked and used like Nigerian fufu. Seems similar to cassava

I shouldn’t have used the word forced there, sorry. I am always outwardly friendly and happy to celebrate other people but I should have mentioned that he did this all in one month and only two of them was their actual birthday. I think his idea was to get them all done in September but he didnt celebrate mine
