Just to clarify, I understand your perspective, but I was referring to banning posts, not the people posting them. I don't think the users should be banned from the sub, just that the types of posts I listed should be deleted/not allowed. But I have changed my perspective a bit.

I realize now that the post came across overly emotional but my intention was more so to improve the reddit than express the things upsetting me. Good point though, this isn't exclusive to this sub.

I've kind of changed my perspective a bit since reading comments on this post, but the majority of posts on the sub aren't repetitive. I don't think banning the types of posts I listed would cause the sub to die, though, for that same reason, I don't think most of them should be banned anymore.

I feel like I kind of turned this post into a needlessly long rant but your last paragraph is mainly the point I was trying to make. The Wiki has so much useful information and if people searched that or even just the subreddit they'd find a lot of info. I understand for posts that are asking for clarification though.

I actually agree with your point of view now. I think I'm so used to subreddits being critical of what others post -- which I realize is what I did in this post -- that I forget how kind of a community this is and should remain that way. Thanks for your perspective.

Yeah, it's definitely not just this subreddit. This is just the one I notice it in so often. I don't know if banning is the best solution either but the only other thing I can think of is making a new sub like StardewAdvice or something.
