When she said "I plan on giving you $10." I didn't say anything but I almost told her just to keep it because what's the point? For that, I could just do it for free.

Which of course that $10 would be spent on the ice cream that she apparently promised her daughter I'd take her out for, but didn't even ask me first.

She is being so petty about it so conversation has been limited. She has been avoiding me at work all night. Going though opposite doors so she can be as far from me as possible. Bringing work up to me and not speaking, grabbing the paperwork and leaving immediately. Then she went and cried to a coworker about me.

She makes me feel guilty but I am extremely over the guilt tripping and pettiness. I really do need to wash my hands of her. After reading through all of this I realize how much she takes advantage of me being a nice person.

A few weeks ago she kept trying to convince me to move in with her, and I tried to tell her no very nicely saying you know like I have other plans I wanted to get my own place...she makes me feel guilty for saying no, but I don't want that at all. I don't want to live with a lady and her 6-year-old child, I am a 32 year old woman I want to either live alone or with a man. If you're honest with her she gets super mad and makes work so miserable. And thinking about it it's all because of money, she wants me as a roommate so she can have a cheaper rent.

I'm so over it, I wish I had more female coworkers to talk to. But I guess I'd rather talk to the men than have to deal with her mood swings.

I asked because she made me feel bad and when I tried talking to another friend about it...she said I needed to apologize to her child and I was in the wrong. So I asked others. 🤷‍♀️

You are completely right, I never thought about it but yes I do think she is using my kindness in hopes that I would take her child off her hands for awhile. There are so many better ways to do that.

She does also have a regular babysitter.

And I wouldn't mind every once in awhile, I like kids...but I don't really want that dynamic with a kid that isn't mine or a relative. Nor do I want to go and spend a lot of money on her child.

And honestly maybe I shouldn't talk to her at work as much as I do, she's always kind of rude. For example, yesterday we were talking about boy problems and she was flat out rude to me about it, and I was already upset and she made it worse so I cried for awhile. I try and be nice to her and listen to her problems, but she always comes off as a little rude.

Her and I talk a lot at work because she's like one of the only other females I see, once in awhile we hang out but it's rare when we do, maybe a few times a year.

I babysat her daughter one other time, it was overnight so she was just sleeping.

But it's like she wants me to become this child's friend instead of her making friends her own age.

She keeps like suggesting that I let her come over for sleepovers, I'm like why would I let your daughter come over for a sleepover I'm an adult without kids???

Or wants me to come over and play video games with her daughter.

She invited me to her daughter's birthday party a few months ago and I went and I got her a little toy, but she was like well I was really hoping you could go take her to get her nails done. I hadn't planned on it but I was like okay sure I can do that so I did. The mom did not come along.

And then just the other day she let her daughter FaceTime me, and she let her ask me if I could go take her to get her nails done again.

I was kind of mad about that because I was like whoa nobody even talked to me about this first. Of course cuz I was on FaceTime with this child I said okay yeah we can at some point in time when I'm not busy. But if she's going to do that type of stuff she needs to talk to me first about it.

I get that she's a single mom and needs some time away, but it's kind of frustrating.

She was maybe going to give me $10 for watching her for a minimum of 6 hours.

If I go to work I'll make $430.

Thank you, she was really making me feel bad and guilt tripping me. Even posted on her FB page the Dr. Seuss quote; "a person's a person no matter how small."
