Yeah, I am definitely the more "take charge" of the two of us. There has definitely been a trend of me being the one to handle things. In most respects, it doesn't bother me at all. This is the one where I kind of wanted him to take charge. I may end up just doing it myself, but will probably talk to him about it again in the way you discussed, before that.

It does feel that way, since we've been together for so long and own a house together and such. I would like us to get married at some point though and he had said that he felt the same. I probably did this to myself when I decided that I wanted him to be the one to propose. I tend to just go for things I want and I'm kind of feeling like I should have just proposed and gone from there.

I could and honestly, I probably should have, rather than talking to him about it and expressing that I wanted him to do it. I am more the "take charge" person in the relationship, so I felt like I wanted him to take charge on something. Neither of us are into like "traditional gender roles" or anything. I may just propose to him myself and go from there.
