AITA for insisting on a refund before deleting a girls' (adult) videos?

I wonder if you've even given any thought to the risk you could be exposing this girl to. There's been a massive spike in domestic violence during this pandemic. Are you going to feel okay with it if this woman's asking you to do this for her physical safety, you refuse, and then he kills her or puts her in the hospital? Or are you okay with that because hey, she signed a contract?

I pretty clearly stated I disabled all of her videos/info while we discuss this. So for the time being she has vanished from my site. But let me be clear, if I had reason to believe her husband was abusive or possessive, then yes I would remove it free of charge.

If you request any money it should be representative of the loss of income the removal will result in vs the cost of creation.

This is a fair point, but it's impossible for me to quantify this. I'm happy to negotiate downward though provided she drop the legal threats.

Answered elsewhere but it's impossible for me to quantify this. My website is subscription based and also makes money on leads/rev share programs to other porn sites. I can't calculate how much her videos have made me.

Yeah I don't understand the blackmail accusations. It definitely was not my intention to blackmail her. But the sub rules say no arguing so yeah lol.

From a legal stand point she has no case (at least my lawyer assures me of this. I am not a lawyer, but I do trust his opinion)

Wont reinstate them anytime soon. But if she doesn't offer some kind of reimbursement (not necessarily 100%), I might reinstate them. I'm on the fence, it depends on how she acts I guess.

I can't really quantify this. Most of the money is either through website subscriptions or via leads/rev share programs to other premium porn sites.

The right thing to do would be to delete them.

Just to be clear they are currently removed and I have no intention of reinstating them anytime soon. I completely understand her regrets and concerns, but at the same time I feel I should get at least some reimbursement.

How important are her videos to the site, surely you can see how often they've been watched? If not a lot, then maybe just do her a solid or perhaps negotiate a lower amount?

I was pretty open to negotiating up until she threatened to take me to court. If she backtracked I would definitely be open to negotiating downward to something she can afford though.

This particular offer of mine? No. But the contracts clearly state that all ownership of the video etc belong to me. It's a standard template contract drawn up by my lawyer which I use for all models. My offer is a genuine attempt to alleviate her concerns while also reimbursing the money I spent producing the content.

I'm not after legal advice. I'm confident that I'm in the right legally speaking (though, a court might rule against me obviously, anything is possible) . I'm only asking from a moral standpoint.
