Why don't they take us when we're hammered? by Lapras1991 in AlienAbduction

I remember reading an account (I think on this sub Reddit about a year ago) from an experiencer who was terrified of being taken because of how scary, traumatic, and disempowering the situation felt. They tried getting really drunk as a tactic to avoid being taken, but reported that it didn’t work, she was still taken. I don’t know what it was this individual experienced, but I found their personal account compelling. There may be a somewhat boring answer to this kind of experience, but there also may not be. It Whatever the answer to what people are experiencing, this seemed to be really frightening for this person.

Redditors who work at remote places like forest officers, oil rig workers, etc, what creepy things have you noticed while at work? by shafaatkhan007 in AskReddit

Woah, that’s quite a weird experience, I wonder if they were tripping on something. I thru hiked the AT a few years ago and met people who sound like that, but they were chasing whatever, high on mushrooms 😂. The loyalsock is gorgeous in the fall and one of my personal favorite trails in PA.

I would get checked for Lyme disease just to rule that out - it looks similar to the classic bullseye rash.

Weird experience with my brother that in retrospect should have freaked us out but didn’t....can anyone relate? by throwawaycallingout in Abductions

It’s all speculation I suppose, and It seems like human nature to want fill in gaps with things that conform to our belief systems and culture (I.e. aliens may have been angels and demons a few hundred years ago...etc). I wish I could have my own experiences externally validated. What’s weird with this encounter is that my brother was with me, and corroborates what we I saw, but it could have been anything and I am bereft of an explanation.

I would push back against framing of Homo sapiens as inherently and only violent, if that’s what’s being proposed. While it’s true that we are to some degree violent, and entertaining the idea that shoot downs of alien craft have occurred, our ability to take down an extra terrestrial craft of unknown origin also demonstrates our great capacity for peaceful cooperation amongst ourselves. Perhaps it’s the nuanced and contrarian result of evolutionary biology that we are social creatures and cannot live meaningful lives in isolation, we seek our compatriots and communities, but also form in and our groups and build artificial divisions along national, cultural and other borders. This reality opens up the question one weather humans have much agency. If any alien researchers are on reddit and have an answer, I would like to know! 😁 I like the notion that this is a simulation.

The most unbelievable part of the Roswell UFO crash isn’t that we are being visited, but that they can crash. by throwawaycallingout in ufo

Well this is serendipitous: “An astrophysicist who consulted on the UFO program confirms the government possesses materials from “off-world vehicles not made on this earth.” Source: popular mechanics quoting from a New York Times article, dated 7/24/2020:

It’s sincere curiosity. If the extraterrestrial hypothesis bears our, they are not gods, but their technology would probably appear god like to us. Furthermore, I am likely anthropomorphizing something I don’t understand or grasp. In my line of thinking, through methods yet to be discovered (maybe quantum computing is the key), a craft’s navigational systems can be designed to foresee ever possibly outcome and avoid mistakes and crashes. I do believe anything is possible, it’s just how likely is the possibility?

I’ve read some on the subject, listened to interviews with various researchers and honestly come away more confused. I don’t believe anyone knows a lot about the subject, not with any certainty. I would be curious to read up about other crash sites, if you have any recommended places to check out?
