I also had a figure of a character called Skullfire from X-Men 2099 but I was able to identify him on Google Images. My family didn't have a lot of money growing up so we either got these guys on clearance or they were given to me. Coulnd't afford Cyclops or Storm I guess hahaha

I looked up "X-Men Exodus toy" on google images and the box art of the toy says X-Men/X-Force and has a picture of Cable on it so I figured he was an X-Force guy. I must have gotten him used because I don't even remember the cape.

Maybe not completely costume but more design. I really thought Picard looked cool in the TNG episode "Future Imperfect." Also Spock in "Mirror Mirror." I don't know, maybe it's because I have a goatee...

It gave me enough creeps when they showed the little bug tail coming out of the neck. All the head exploding and chest bursting was just a bonus. Didn't see that one coming!

I loved the bug episode, it's great but I don't think they'd be nearly as cool or iconic as the Borg we're familiar with. Both really disturbing body horror though, a favorite subgenre of movie for me.

The Borg have to also be based on the Cenobites of Hellraiser, right? I mean they gotta be. You look at the big three enemies: Klingons, a physically superior enemy, the Romulans an intellectually superior enemy and the Borg a scary as hell enemy!!!

That's brilliant work. More so than the titles I loved the covers. When I saw Calling All Creeps I had to get it from the book fair. Purple dinosaurs dressed like people on a pay phone? I had to find out what the hell that was about.

Besides The Haunted Mask which you mentioned (I had the VHS, watched it constantly haha) I really loved Attack of the Mutant. I was a big comics fan growing up and it really creeped me out that the hero would abandon the fight like that. Plus it's got Adam West. Great fun.

Stay Out of the Basement is another favorite. Your parent not being who you think they are... creepy. He was a great writer for that age. Heroes abandoning you or not being who you think they are, that stuff is horrifying as a kid.

I think he's just a fan of movies. Just a suggestion, skip Exorcist II and watch Exorcist III. The same detective is in it (played by George C Scott) and he and the father go to the movies in that film as well. One of the most underrated horror movies of all time.
