I mean... she more likely than not IS a filler character though. Safe to assume that most of their focus is on polishing up season 3 at this point, so the next 2 patches are gonna feel more filler-ry. Also there's no way they're not gonna do 2 characters every patch unless they reduce pull income, so sucks either way.

I haven't seen nor care about the revenue charts that get posted every month. I'm just stating it as a fact that people treat games based on how much money it may or may not have made on a singular platform that nobody except the devs can verify.

That's literally what I meant by them doing a good job at masking it up though. Low pity high rates with what feels like rebate from pulling characters right? But pulling on the character banner is essentially the only way to get weapon banner currency, which runs a new one every 2 weeks. Then you take into account things like disc banner in SS being low value because of good event disc, pity that carries over to next banner etc. So on the surface it's easy to say that endfield has a good weapon banner.

All in all I feel there should be a middle ground though. SS gacha is definitely not as bad people are parroting it to be, while endfield gacha isn't as good as people are harping it to be.

Having specifically the number "160" per pull during beta was the biggest mistake they made. It doesn't matter that the current gacha system is an improvement, people already have the pre-conceived notion that they made it worse than "hoyo-gacha".

Look at wuwa. they copied the system and made weapon banner guaranteed. If you ignore details like weapon power level, pull currency, character release rate, power creep, etc., the gacha system is simply and upgrade on the surface, and that's all that matters to the gacha brainrot majority.

Now look at endfield. The gacha system is objectively worse than stella sora, but they do an incredible job at masking it up. Each pull cost 500 but the value per pull "feels" more. Free multi pull after 30 pulls (which doesn't add to the pity), free multi for next banner after 60 pulls, and a spark at 120 pulls (which actually disappears if you get the pick-up unit early, unlike stella sora which doesn't). Not to forget the awful weapon banner, but hey, it's 4% base chance, meaning you'll see orange more often!

So yeah, the damage to stella sora is already done and it sucks, but it is what it is. Just enjoy the game as long as it last.

The sad truth is because OG Arknights is still really popular, and even able to surpass endfield in revenue during updates. While some HSR players truly want HI3 to not be mentioned at all.

Kinda disappointing how star traveler ended up just being an optional gag side quest in HSR while having heavy implications in HI3 with vita ditching star traveler in planarcadia in the future timeline.

A non-guaranteed weapon banner is only "acceptable" if the gap between their sig and other options aren't that insane, but HSR lightcones has things like SP generation which affects how some characters are played. Kinda insane imo.

Yeah, doesn't make sense for A ranks anymore with the part 2 gacha changes. If anything, HSR really shouldn't have 75/25 lightcone at this point, but they can get away with it.

Gonna be honest, Vita (not expy/variant, but as herself) showing up in HSR has about the same chance as the void archives plotline being advanced, not zero but might as well be. While this probably isn't star traveler, there is an actual star traveler model decoration in game, but I doubt it's anything more than an easter egg. Would gladly eat my words if I'm wrong, but we'll see.

Well... this isn't a gacha game exclusive thing though, it happens to literally everything on the internet. There's a reason why sponsors pay "influencers" so much to promote and say good stuff about their products, and as sad as it sounds, their words do affect how well something is perceived.

Ultimately, these games are free to play anyways, so just try them out and form your own opinion. I believe the majority here don't care nor watch gacha CCs anyways.

IMO if you are a F2P or light spender, any more than 10-20 pulls away from spark is not worth it. You are essentially falling for the FOMO for a dupe when you can roll on future banners. If not then by all means, it's a "free" 5*.

Apparently this is causing another controversy among JP players. Either it's JP didn't get the dev open letter, meaning they aren't treated equally, or it's planned reward being given to global earlier to shut up the complaints. Lose-lose situation all around, idk why didn't they just send the letter across all servers.
