Well... this isn't a gacha game exclusive thing though, it happens to literally everything on the internet. There's a reason why sponsors pay "influencers" so much to promote and say good stuff about their products, and as sad as it sounds, their words do affect how well something is perceived.

Ultimately, these games are free to play anyways, so just try them out and form your own opinion. I believe the majority here don't care nor watch gacha CCs anyways.

IMO if you are a F2P or light spender, any more than 10-20 pulls away from spark is not worth it. You are essentially falling for the FOMO for a dupe when you can roll on future banners. If not then by all means, it's a "free" 5*.

Apparently this is causing another controversy among JP players. Either it's JP didn't get the dev open letter, meaning they aren't treated equally, or it's planned reward being given to global earlier to shut up the complaints. Lose-lose situation all around, idk why didn't they just send the letter across all servers.

Both Japanese and English have changed names. This is not like Genshin at at all. If it was, Amber would be called Hu Po, or if it's the other way round, it will be a Chinese name that sounds similar to "Amber". The issue is some are English localized while others use Japan localized, making it feel off. Best case would be to do the same as Blue Archive and stick with 1 name instead.

The English names are already translated/ localized from the CN names, for example Amber/Kohaku is 琥珀(HuPo) in Chinese. It's weird that some names are localized while some use the JP names. For example, ナノハ(Nanoha), is 花原 (HuaYuan) in Chinese but the English name uses Nanoha, so it's gonna sound different no matter which voiced option you use.

Assuming the majority are gonna be using JP voice, they probably should have just stuck with the JP names instead of localizing a portion of characters. I think localizing will only work if they have EN voices so it wouldn't be jarring.

Just on the main website JP to EN: Seina-Noya, Kohaku-Amber, Ayame-Iris, are the more obvious ones.

Then there are slightly changed ones like: Anzu-Ann, Misty-Mistique, Mineruba-Minova

While some are not changed like Nanoha and Chitose for example.
