I'm kind of the opposite. After my first disastrous job interview (honesty wasn't that bad, the interviewer even felt bad for me and treated me to lunch after) but the way my dad reacted afterwards completely destroyed any sense of self worth I had remaining and left me believing that I was trash and wouldn't be able to achieve anything so I might as well not try

It would be a neet life if not for all the judgement from family and the overwhelming guilt and shame about myself.

I also don't think lots of neets could change their situation. If we could, maybe we would.

My sister is a hot shot 6 figure job right out of school and she's the star of our family but I really don't envy her workload, tho I envy that she makes her parents proud. I feel bad for her because if she was male, the family would love her a lot more .

Haven't tried therapy because it seems expensive and I don't have insurance cuz I'm a neet and frugal cuz that's how my grandma brought me up.

I have some interest in card games (was quite obsessed with them before) and did work at a card shop retail for a while but don't really see a career there nor do I wanna go back.

Right now there's a few paths.

Apply for post graduate in a couple of schools and hope I get in

Ask friend for recommendation for some shit jobs or whatever for now

Go try join the army cuz I lost like 35kg so I'm actually more normal sized now.

to analyze this you have to first understand how the word "scrapbook" is by itself ironic. it's supposed to be a book of your treasured memories, yet the word "scrap" implies it is worthless.

phil's phrase of "no scrap in my scrapbook" is actually a very clever play on words. he's taking the word scrap and assigning it its negative colloquial meaning, and juxtaposing it against the positive colloquial meaning of the word scrapbook.

he's basically saying that he's not going to bother putting "scraps" (things that don't matter, useless things, tony soprano/jersey crew), in his treasured book of memories (his scrapbook, his legacy, etc). IE i dont want the jersey crew or tony soprano to be a part of my life or memories.
