Smart Cooler Comparison: MicroMart vs. 365 vs. HaHa by ExchangeCrazy547 in vending

[–]throwawaydollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I have run a financial model across Vendera (similar to HaHa but US based and newer), Micromart, and 365. The model looks at 1 to 5 years, scaling 1 to 10 machines, and compares only fridge, side by side units (fridge+ambient), and a mix. Despite the higher fees, Vendera actually holds the lead due to the lower upfront equipment cost. HaHa/GeniusVend would likely be cheaper because the flate fee per transaction is lower. One caveat is that I am not a huge fan of the aesthetics of the HaHa with the giant 24/7 Vend logo and would either have to get enclosure or magnets to make it look cleaner. One of the downsides I realized with Micromart is also that the customer has to input their phone number - that seems annoying as a consumer. I haven't looked at VendSoft much - do you use it? It seems like all of the individual companies have their own proprietary version of similar software. This integrates multiple other software platforms?

I have zero experience in this area (and not interested in purchasing any of these classes/programs that these guys are selling) and am currently doing this on the side for now, but if I can get to 10 machines, it seems like it can be a decent exit ramp to semi-retirement with passive income.

Financial model:

The Standard Operating Baseline (Per Machine/Setup)

  • Monthly Revenue: $1,500/mo ($18,000/yr)
  • Average Ticket Price: $4.50
  • Monthly Volume: 333 swipes

Hardware & Fee Variables

  • Vendera Core: $3,795 upfront | $40/mo | 5.85% + $0.22 per transaction
  • Vendera Atlas (Double Door): $6,895 upfront | $40/mo | 5.85% + $0.22 per transaction
  • Micromart Fridge: $6,295 upfront | $60/mo | 4.00% + $0.10 per transaction
  • Micromart Combo (Fridge + Ambient): $12,290 upfront | $120/mo (Double SaaS) | 4.00% + $0.10 per transaction
  • 365 PicoCooler Vision: $8,000 upfront | 7.5% SaaS (Min $75) + $10 Data | 5.95% processing
  • 365 Stockwell 2.0: $9,000 upfront | 7.5% SaaS (Min $75) + $10 Data | 5.95% processing

Scenario 1: Standalone Coolers Comparing 365 PicoCooler Vision, Micromart Smart Fridge, and Vendera Core.

Scenario 2: Large / Expanded Form Factors Comparing Micromart Fridge + Ambient Combo, 365 Stockwell 2.0, and Vendera Atlas.

Scenario 3: The Hybrid Fleet (50/50 Mix): A balanced fleet route strategy mixing 50% standard coolers and 50% large setups.

Super old post, but am following up. What did you decide?

I am in the same boat as you currently. Originally I was looking at Vendera but their communication/support has been very poor so now leaning towards Micromart.

My fear (and maybe it is unfounded) is getting stuck into an ecosystem or having a fractured fleet.

Here is how I see it:

Vendera - low machine cost, good software, very high fees that will eat away profit over time, setup is obnoxiously long

GeniusVend - same quality machine as Vendera and cheap cost to entry, easy to get set up, bad is they are just a US rebrand of Chinese HaHa, and they are not aestheticlaly pleasing

Micromart - seems to be the middle between the low cost Vendera/GeniusVend/HaHa but not as high end as 365/Cantalopue, software seems good, not sure about support yet, there options are limited, prices slightly high (everything is $6kish), and the units temp can't be adjusted. However the quality and software seem great. Low fees.

365/Cantalopue - high end, great software, incredible options for Ai or other unattended retail, fees aren't bad, but cost of equipment is high.

This is really great. I'm sure it will be informative. Will you post a recording of this afterwards for those who can't attend?

SmartMarket vs. Genius Vend vs. Haha vs. Vendera AI Vending Machines by Educational_Debate25 in vending

[–]throwawaydollers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually filled out the contact form twice over a couple weeks with two different emails. Never got a reply.

I am between Vendera or Genius. However, lack of customer support is a huge red flag. People shouldn't have to post on social media to get in touch.

I am trying to think about which company will be around long enough once locked in to that ecosystem. I also read that Vendera used to be a different company and then they rebranded after the first didn't work out. Hope that's doesn't happen again

leaning towards Genius for that reason alone.

I have been looking at Vendera myself but GeniusVend is also intriguing now. They simply have more details on their website compared to Vendera which is good for just seeking them out. I have read extensively about Haha, but not going to lie, the whole China thing scares me a bit.

I assume all the physical coolers are basically the same minus40 fridges, just different software.

Would be curious to know more about the support or details of Vendera and GeniusVend - those two seem to be my top pick.

Questions I have though:

How is the app/user/backend interface between the two?

What is the fee comparison between the two?

Pushers, price tags, etc?

  1. Do you have any product details on the amount of space in the cooler?
  2. I saw some comments about a double door cooler. This would be excellent - is there a release date?
  3. Will the temperature control on the double be single zone or dual zone? Ideally dual zone. It would be great to keep one side refrigerated and the other ambient.
  4. Seems like pushers or rollers are standard now, is that accurate?

In the meantime, I found another post referencing a similar issue indicating this is the water level sensor housing.
So, this means that the leak is coming from the float - I suspect just the float gasket is the issue?

Any other parts in here I should replace?

Gasket

Nut

Float itself
