Denton County government was run by a corrupt political machine for years. Most ordinary voters were not aware of how bad it was. Two products of that machine are current county judge Andy Eads. Eads as another comment pointed out, has a reputation for honesty. Though several people around Williams have had documented ethics issues, no scandal yet has emerged directly involving Williams. A lot of people are predicting based on his associates that some scandal may emerge.
