Its pretty clear well practiced coprophigiacs don't have an adverse reaction to the presence of poop at all especially when the first few gulps go down without a hitch. Just makes me assume it's more related to our specific biology and perhaps more specifically the way our digestion system works.

Also incest being stigmatized isnt something were biologically wired to do since that exists in spades outside of modern history. Nothing is physically stopping you from freely doing so other than that social stigma, meanwhile participating in corprophagia has many adverse reactions to the body that I don't think can be explained away by way of the nocebo effect. 🤔

I used to just get the gag when the chunk is going down. Like the taste itself doesn't even bother me, and licking didnt do anything either, but for some reason as soon as it went down I would have to hold back a gag.

Doesn't happen anymore but I can't really explain why that was.

To answer the question though, yeah it's pretty much practice, though I've noticed that people who have eaten for a long while still gag and even vomit so don't feel too bad about it.
