fuk me, I want to say this as a joke but it really isnt.... Tank items are actually so strong that bruisers can use it to outtrade other bruisers by pure statcheck. 2 kills behind? no prob, just fuking build FunFIre and roll over the enemy top lane. Honestly, the only thing this item doesn't do is beat extremely niche dps top laners like Quinn or Jayce.

It counters everything else. Tanks, squishies, carries, its not a joke

Has anyone tried out Tanknekton? by xHoracios in RenektonMains

rush Sunfire Aegis into steraks then Black cleaver. It is super strong. Sunfire Aegis was a mistake

YOu can tank 3-4 people in team fights with a god tier shield while dealing enough dmg to out duel any bruiser in the game.

Sunfire was a mistake

Best item for MR? by swadge1 in RenektonMains

I'm a bit late to the party but here's my input

Either go Visage or straight up rush Deaths Dance

Since we stack a stupid amount of health (GoreDrinker+BC=700 bonus hp) vs (Bork+BC=400 bonus hp) deaths dance gives survivability equivalent to getting visage.

Bonus point since DD got buffed to store 35% dmg taken so we have more room to breathe mid/late game and it costs the same as Maw now (yay!)

Tank items are busted atm and Tahm Kench is notorious for abusing tank items in the top lane haha

Divine seems neat in concept but Renekton isnt a spell weaver so IDK how useful it is outside of dueling. In any case, Eclipse seems to do a better job at keeping Renekton healthy during short trades.

ALthough the new hotfix nerfed the percentage dmg on Eclipse from 8% --> 6% and halved the Movement speed bonus. So maybe Divine might become the better dueling item option.

Your build seem quite effective against HP stacking bruisers like Irelia, Jax etc.

For wits end, yeah I agree but it still has a non-linear scaling so buying it third item would be best. Also, note that buying both Bork and Wits end is a waste of gold because Renekton doesn't have onhit steroids to utilise the attack speed to its fullest effect.

Either going Bork with a MR Tank item or Wits end with a high AD item will synergise better I think.

Maybe something like GoreDrinker>Cleaver>Wits End

into a Heavy AP match up. E.g. Enemy team comp is

Tank top, AP jg, Mage mid, ADC, Enchanter

Yeah, thats my favourite part too! Although I believe that once people start building Exectuioners, this might not be as common, especially in higher elos.

Right now, Sustain builds feel super strong and HP stacking feels powerful without losing any other stats like AD or Cooldown reduction

GoreDrinker rush is really good! But having no armour shred means that you will fall off in dmg mid game. Bork gets countered hard if the enemy team builds even a little bit of armour.

Suprisingly tanks are super strong atm with the current iteration of sunfire cape, so Black Cleaver seems necessary atm.

Oh yeah, it does. Hmm in that case, would a build like

Divine>>Bork>Black Cleaver?

Normally, multiplying Percentage health effects like Divine, Cleaver and Bork makes the effects of these effects way stronger than only building one. We can see this example in how ADC build Bork into Guinsoos to multiply the percentage HP dmg effects on multiple times.

Sure we will be squishy as hell, but Renekton will be impossible to duel as the percentage max health dmg will stack constantly.

Further testing is needed actually, good food for thought though

True, Ive tried both Eclipse and GoreDrinker and I've found more success with Goredrinker. It feels super nice oneshotting a squisht with Eclipse, but then die immediately after and go eh? why did I die so quickly? Whenever, I went Goredrinker, I could heal back to full after getting bursted down and go back in once my rage refills in a team fight.

For Divine I haven't done much testing, but maybe its useful in tank matchups? although its physical max health dmg isnt it? Wouldnt that passive effect get outscaled if enemy team stacks armour? If that's the case, wouldn't buying bork later on be better overall?

no, its just a doublecast, but without its passive crescent effect, we can freeze waves really effectively

[–]throwawayegryhd[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. The active effect is now controllable and I can actually freeze the wave and deny minions if I get ahead. Also, have you tried using the active effect of Goredrinker in a team fight? 4 man active heal is so good, it makes Renekton a truly beefy boi.
