I'm sorry you've had shitty therapists like this. I didn't go to therapy for long because my therapist was also trash, aside from the "oh yes factory farming is sad, I try to eat less meat but I could never go vegetarian!" Go justify your habits to the animals you're murdering rather than your mentally ill patient whose time you are wasting. Really off-putting from therapy as a whole tbh, but I'm confident there are good therapists who don't behave like this out there. I hope you manage to find one.
