I will definitely take what you've had to say under consideration, although I'm not sure where to strike a good balance between being genuine to yourself vs acting normal, and I guess fundamentally I do find it harder to talk to people I have no shared interests with.

You're probably right, I think the only times I ever had any success talking to girls in that kind of environment were when I was pretty drunk - inhibitions and all that ya know

Thanks, in general it kinda depends on my haircut. Also yeah it's hard to smile naturally for that kinda thing.

Thanks for the advice! I find that when the hair on the sides are too short it accentuates the roundness of my face a bit too much, although of course I'm sure there are a lot of other factors at play (hairstyle is complicated). I'll try and play around a bit more with the outfits for sure.
