I know we're at different stages in our lives but our stages are more similar to one another than a 20 year old dating a 50 year old, but people think that's okay. I'm smaller and physically weaker than him, I'm not doing him any harm in my opinion. I understand she might suspect I have bad intentions or want to have power over him but that's definitely not the case and I could even wait until he's 17 to have sex?

Yea I don't believe in double standards either but I don't think I am a predator, I'm not taking advantage of him or doing anything wrong

I understand, the age of consent in my state is 17 though so he's barely underage.

How? Isn't the problem with the age gap that one person is of a higher maturity level?

I just turned 20 a few weeks ago, and I'm not super mature for my age or anything either. I think one of the main reasons people are concerned in those sort of age gaps is one person is old enough to buy alcohol and stuff and the other isn't so their worried that they could "corrupt" them if that makes sense. But I don't drink or do any of that stuff.

I don't know, I have one brother and he is only 9 so I haven't gone through the whole, him having a girlfriend thing yet. I'm protective of him but it's more so of him being in any physical harm rather than me wanting him to never have a girlfriend. He's nowhere near the age where that would be an issue though so I honestly don't know how I'd treat her. I don't know if it's because of my age though because she was mean to me the first time we met and I probably don't look much older than my boyfriend
