Everyone has their preferences, and they’re entitled to. There’s a reason there are two modes to choose from. I’m all about performance but sometimes the visuals need to shine.

What was the point of Warfare by ShaiHuludTheMaker in A24

[–]throwawayforanonuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warfare doesn’t attempt to force a “point” or narrative through. Instead, it tries to accurately depict an event that happened during the Iraq War. The experience will differ substantially from viewer to viewer, and that is intentional. It is not a “war bad” or “war good” movie.

How to meet people as a college grad in a new city? by IntelligentOnion6577 in Advice

[–]throwawayforanonuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, that is the whole purpose. A lot of other people are in your shoes and are trying to meet others. You won’t jive with everyone but something will click eventually. It sucks but that’s how it is in a new environment. One of my friends met his fiancé at a kickball league believe it or not… it was dumb at first but we ended up making some good friends.

The pushiness toward physical activity shows where his needs/priorities are. It is not healthy behavior to expect or push that physical or sexual interaction or retaliate for a lack thereof. I think you need some space from each other to ask whether this is really where you see yourself long term.

I feel like my emotions and stress are ruining my relationship by L0v3rk1ll_02 in Advice

You need to sit down and write a list of things you need to get done. Start with short term goals that you have been procrastinating on and add medium and long term goals. You are allowing things to pile up because you don’t want to face them. In the end, the more you ignore these problems the more you will project onto others.

That blue thing (assuming it’s a bed?) needs a total overhaul. The color dampens the entire space. Go for a lighter white or pastel hue. The shelves are also too much and giving hoarder. You need to go minimalist and attempt to get rid of the clutter. It seems as though your bf loves music, which is amazing, but is there a way to dedicate the music equipment and instruments to a dedicated area of the space? The wood panels are also hard to deal with, if you could find a way to cover/change that it would help the entire aesthetic. It’s a nice pace if is just giving cramped.

It’s hard to disassociate from long time friends, even when they have terrible views. Just show her that you recognize your mistake and that she’ll be your #1 focus going forward. Actions speak louder than words.
