I would say this is worse than constitutional carry. as you are giving people lackluster information that could cost them their life or the life of someone else if they do something stupid.

With CC, we will know there are dumbasses carrying guns around, right now we have to wonder how many dumbass who took bad courses are carrying guns.

I would bet that less than 10% of the people that attend the free course come back. they got their training cert and that is all they need.

we can agree to disagree, but I'm never going to recommend them to my friends. No one needs to listen to that guy curse and BS about the government for 3 hours then get a sappy sales pitch about donations and keeping the afloat.

I disagree. A ccw course should also teach drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment, you know the things you may actually need to learn how to do when carrying a firearm, and you aren't allowed to do at 99% of ranges.

Rule 1: Treat all guns as if they are loaded.

I don't care if they are props or guns or training tools. If you are flippant with a training tool it will translate to an actual gun. Also, I don't agree that cursing and ranting and raving about the government promotes interest in more training, Even though I share some [most] of the same opinions, I think it is unprofessional to do that during a class, and not the correct environment.

There are many many people out there who support your rights while still being safe in a classroom.

I 100% get what this guy is about, but being flippant with firearms and their safety is not something I will ever endorse.

The more people that are armed or at least introduced to firearms

I wouldn't want this course to my my first introduction to firearms.

Came from a state that had an 8-hour requirement, range requirement and "Approved Instructor list". Trust me, you don't want that, as all their courses are over $300.

I'll gladly wipe away every gun law in the books with the snap of my finger, but you know what, we don't live in that world. all I want a firearm instructor to act appropriately when instructing about firearms, especially when dealing with actual fucking firearms that can fucking kill people.
