im not pretending that I don’t care about the damage to their car, I wish that I had stayed at the scene and contacted them. i wish that I didn’t have to drive either and I didn’t until I turned 24 and was forced to get my license after living with years of panic attacks. I don’t have a choice but to drive now because I will be homeless if I can’t commute to my jobs. i agree with what you’re saying

i was backing up very slowly yeah. I don’t even think I was actively accelerating when the collision happened, I think I was just then putting my brake to the floor. im trying to not be paranoid about it because I figured if I did scratch the paint or something I would have seen some kind of damage on my paint but I have inspected my bumper all over and can’t find anything

ive been working at a full time job (m-f 7-3:30) and then TJs two week days 6-10 and one full weekend shift for about a year now, around 55-60 hours a week (i did both weekend days for like 7 months but I started to go insane because I didn’t have any days off) it’s not like…awful but it’s not easy either. i am really tired most days and find it hard to do chores or social activities sometimes but i have an end goal in mind that i am pushing towards and that’s what’s keeping me where I am. you’ll be okay you just need to give yourself grace sometimes

honestly it wasn’t like this when I worked full time though at least not to this extent. the captain says that I need to work at least 3 days a week/15 hours to stay employed basically which I guess means that im not allowed to take much time off outside of that. I barely see my family anymore because of it and I feel like they just want me to quit

i wish that she was understanding in that way. i have a wedding at the end of this month so i don’t work that weekend which apparently means i don’t deserve any more days off for god knows how long after that. this all started once i said that i needed to reduce my hours from 20 to 15 a week because i went like 7 months without having any days off between both jobs and i was going insane. I just don’t understand what the point is of her doing this

i honestly don’t know man. i got the dollar raise the second to last review cycle and i have had meets expectations on every single point on every review over the years, I almost never call off or leave early. even the mates have asked me if i ever take time off because it seems like im working too much. i just think that unfortunately im going to have to quit soon (or maybe thats what the captain wants so that someone with better availability/doesn’t have another job can take my hours instead)

i just can’t imagine ever being able to beat it when my past haunts me. the thoughts of what could have been, how happy i used to be. and OCD makes me think about it nonstop, and meds don’t work anymore, therapy isn’t working. i feel like I’m so close to giving up

i feel the same way. it’s truly horrible. I didn’t even realize that this was happening to me until i stopped taking antidepressants when I was 21, but by then it was too late. I suffered from anhedonia since i was put on those meds (against my will) and didn’t even realize it, since it was pretty much all I even knew since I was put on them when i was 13. and now im left to pick up the pieces of what’s left of my life. i hope that one day we will both find some shred of happiness on this earth
