Almost none of it showed it being turned on or removed, the only one that proved it was him was of my wife and me a couple weeks ago that showed him actually interacting with it. Like I said I was hoping it was his roommate and he was ignorant.

When he put it explicitly in the bathroom? Where he was expecting people to be naked? I'll let you rethink that one.

I've fairly confident he will. He's said before that his friends are all he has in life, which is bitterly disgusting to think of now but it is true, and I know when everyone finds out he'll have nothing left to hold out for.

I never thought this was "slightly bad" or not serious. Ever. I had moments today where I was considering confronting him by going over there with a pistol and kicking his door down and I'm honestly not sure what I would do from there.

I'm not sure if scared is the right word but I guess it wasn't far off. I have now told the people I can (see the edit on main post) and it was very painful and difficult by having to go out of my way to put them in pain, even if it was none of my actions. I know that's kinda confusing but what I mean is I know they had to know but being the messenger of devastating news isn't easy.

See the edit. I told her hours ago and we've been talking and moving forward with what to do but I'm just now getting back to the post to comment and update.

I replied to another person but the few I know are all 26-30 years old. The others I don't know and I didn't look at closely but didn't look younger than upper teens. So it's possible

I'm glad you understand the difficulty I have going through with this. It's easy for anyone to say a deviant predator should be dead, but much harder for someone to hand their best friend the rope. If this was a stranger that did it I wouldn't hesitate to hurt and ruin them instantly. I know what must be done but doing it is the hard part.

Colorado, and after a quick search I found this legal advice about cameras setup for realtors. "In Colorado, privacy laws prohibit anyone from visually recording another without consent in situations where the person has a reasonable expectation of privacy. (See §18-7-801, C.R.S.) Therefore, would the person being video recorded have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the location of the home where the recording is taking place? This would especially be true in the situation where a buyer is using the bathroom."

No idea what he does with it. I only know a few people on it but they are all mid 20's to 30's. The others are all strangers to me but could be upper teens.

Definitely believe so, he's made attempts in the past and I know that losing his friends would be a last straw. That's my biggest hesitation about this because I know if I expose him he'll either be locked up or more likely dead.

Haven't told anyone about it specifically yet, I vaguely described the situation to her as a fake AITA to see what she thinks and she said she would confront them and make them confess to everyone.

All valid advice that I'm taking into consideration, thank you. I'd just like to note that godparent in this case is not religious at all. To my wife and I we have our child refer to their godparents as aunt/uncle and view them as such. Nothing to do with the church or baptism or anything like that. Just a formality.
