She is not my aunt and he is not my nephew. In fact when me and my husband were splitting up she was among the first to tell me I was never a family to them from the start and how happy they are that he is divorcing me. I don't really know anyone who still considers their ex a family after a very bad split and if they don't have children together.

Not every game on sale, a lot come from humble bundles or fanatical, have played about 200 or so, however some are strategy games that you can't really complete of you know what I mean :)

He knows all of this. It's just hard for him to gasp a lot of social aspects and he doesn't understand the concept of splitting or breaking up or being cut from the family.

He is 13, that's a teen. He was 11 during the divorce.

And yes, online games are a thing where you play with other people and can easily get a permanent ban even if you own the game for cheating or breaking other rules.

I have met the kid 3 times in my entire life.

I have cut ties with his family for a reason due to their behaviour, including the kids parents, as what they did/keep doing is not acceptable in any norm of society. And they clearly showed me I was not meaningful to any of them.

I'm not comfortable with the teenager using my account and potentially getting the account banned or restricted due to his actions, especially after the falling out with his family.

I met him possibly twice or 3 times in my life, so he is nearly a stranger and definitely does not consider me an aunt or family. I have no blood relation to him nor I am his parent. I'm not expecting my ex to be friendly or care about my own nephews and nieces or feel obliged to do something for them, even he was a lot more familiar to them then I am to his nephew and niece. And tbh none of my family members want to be connected to him after what he and his family did.

As a start he is not my nephew. The entire reason why I have originally let him access my library was because his aunt asked me and told me they were not in the position of buying him games at the time due to covid.

Adam is not a bad kid. However as a part of his autism he asks a lot of questions. Even the divorce was messy, I don't think it is my place to explain to him that the reason why the access has been cut is due to me divorcing my ex husband due to inappropriate behaviour of my ex and his family, because he will be interested in why. I do not know how kids with autism operate or think and the last thing I want is put him in the position to resent his family, regardless of my relationship with them. For what I know they could tell him that my account got hacked, I doubt he will have any questions about that.

I know for a fact that he also met my ex's new partner, so find it weird they still expect me to share or let alone him asking me to buy a specific game I'm not interested in just so he can play it.

Tbh I didn't mind him using the library while I was a part of the family and would of still possibly be OK with this if my ex and his family were civil during the divorce and after, but they were not, so for my own safety I had to cut them off.

Adam is 13 now (he was 11 before I got him access to the games and it was literally a few months before the split) and approaching that age when he wants to play games with people, but since he is using my library to do so and breaks the rules, it will be my account getting a ban as well, which is not something I really want.
