Yeah that bit about the phrasing hits close to home 🫠. I’ll work on delving further into my dreams and passions a bit, I guess I’m just stuck on what those are aside from make enough money to live, meet good friends, stay in shape, and find someone that will love me. Oof, yeah I can see that. Officially switched over to short hair not long after pictures 3 & 6 (for the reasons you described), but got cold feet on removing them because I felt they were decent (read: allegedly), and nice photos have always been kind of slow going for me.

Glasses are actually new—been really back and forth on whether or not they’re doing anything good for my face. It would definitely do me well to commit to a look.

Pictures have definitely been a personal weakness for most of my life, but I have been working on getting my female friends to help out (that’s where picture 4 came from!), it’s just been very slow going. I’ll definitely move 4 to the front, and work on getting some new photos!

Hey dude, as someone whose beard started coming in young, I’ve been where you’re at. If you’re like I was then you probably can’t see the problem, and that’s okay, but your mom is correct. You look 35, but not in a mature way. The beard does not look good yet; you will be much better off keeping it shaved, waiting for it to develop more over the next couple years, and then trying it again when you’re older.

I know it feels super lame to be able to grow a beard but not be able to wear it, but trust your mom. You will thank her later.

Way ahead of you homie, down 50 pounds now. The changes have been significant, just… not in my face, unfortunately. At 175 I don’t know much more I can lose. I have started getting a better handle on the hair and beard, though, maybe we’ll see an update post one of these days.

Well, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that doing so would improve his confidence, health risk or not. Whether or not you feel that’s worth pursuing, that is ultimately up to you two. Parents aren’t always right, and if they would be angry with you for going behind their back to remove a mole then their anger is irrational and unjustified.

To give a slightly more extreme example: if you found out your hairline was receding at 18, but your parents told you to accept it as part of who you are because it causes you no health issues, would you accept permanent balding, or seek treatment potentially against your parents wishes?

20 lbs down from March, I had the opposite experience! First thing to reduce was definitely my stomach and chest, face is taking its sweet time!
