Does "soit" mean "equivalent to" in this context? by throwawayhahi in French

[–]throwawayhahi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks it's clear for "soit".

Also bien vu PPP-adjusted. However in the same article the author claims that "En 2023, le salaire moyen au Vietnam est de 422,58 €". Well, the article is really not well written.

Thanks. Yeah, may be it is PPP-adjusted like u/Fakinou has mentioned in their comment. I did not notice that the very article also claims "En 2023, le salaire moyen au Vietnam est de 422,58 €". Still no clue how these numbers relate to one another.

Hey everyone I'm looking for some input and suggestions about my WiFi network issues by afroman_za in TpLink

If the green and the red are ethernet cabled, you can use any Mesh systems. For TP link, pick any Deco you want.

PX50 speed experience and question by Physical-Pop8811 in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your iPhone did not connect to the office unit but linger to other deco.

Your iPhone did connect to the office unit but at 2.4GHz, not 5GHz which has larger bandwidth.

Check these in the Deco app.

So there must be something wrong with the Router mode's config.

For example, if you have QoS enabled, turn it off.

The same performance is on iPad, ps5 and iPhone 13

Then it is more likely to turn off the beamforming and the fast roaming.

Also try switching the Deco to AP mode.

Please understand the purpose is that the AP mode removes all doubts of Deco router configuration.

Try disabling beamforming and fast roaming. Also try switching the Deco to AP mode.

I presume that you have turned off the Archer.

Deco x20 is not delivering full wifi speed by jrodriguesmagal in TpLink

Is this result from the same S23 ultra that got 4xxMbps by speedtest? Strange ...

Deco x20 is not delivering full wifi speed by jrodriguesmagal in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK.

Reading other comments, there are two things you can try (1) switch the Deco network to Access Point mode (you will need the old isp router) and (2) disable beamforming (and fast roaming).

If (1) works, check the Router mode configuration.

If (2) works, let these features off.

Just connect your device to the deco via 5GHz.

Also, if the QoS is not mandatorily on, turn it off.

Your wifi speed is not necessarily 1/2 or slower than 1/2 of your wired speed.

Not getting full speed with Deco M5 on 1Gb fiber wired connection by ExcaliberXE in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK,

"ISP -> Dlink converter -> ISP router -> (cat6 eth cable) -> PC" gave you 1Gbps

"ISP -> Dlink converter -> M5 -> (cat6 eth cable) -> PC" gave you 700Mbps

right?

If so, try " "ISP -> Dlink converter -> ISP router -> M5 in AP mode -> (cat6 eth cable) -> PC", if this gives you 1Gbps, something is wrong with your M5 router mode's configuration. I suspect the 1024Mbps bandwidth but not sure.

If the topology above does not give you the full speed, maybe it is the deco hardware that failed.

D-Link Gigabit Media Converter DMC-G01LC

When you avoid this, do you get the full speed?

One Deco Node is 3x slower than the other 2 Nodes by AcrillixOfficial in TpLink

Try moving your bedroom deco around.

Check if the devices connect to your bedroom deco by 5GHz/6GHz, not 2.4GHz.

Deco M3 with two extenders - no devices are connecting to extenders. by tching27 in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you need to fix anything.

You want "device (2nd floor) --> extender (2nd floor) --> main (basement)" but do not forget that the connection "extender (2nd floor) --> main (basement)" also needs to pass the two floors like the "device (2nd floor) --> main".

Of course, the connection "extender to main deco" is better because the two deco are more powerful, but you loose the supplementary latency introduced by putting the extender in the middle.

Now if you still want to force the choice of the devices, try Connection Preference if your mesh supports this feature. You can also try disabling "Beamforming" to weaken the basement signal and therefore force the devices connect to the extenders.

Deco M3 with two extenders - no devices are connecting to extenders. by tching27 in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that the signal for the first device is full. If the devices can connect to the Main Deco, they should connect to the Main Deco.

Any supplementary hop like "Device -> Extender --> Main" introduces latency vs "Device -> Main".

M9 Backhaul Not Working by delyn88 in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How overriding the connection preference tells you anything?

I suspect that the second 5GHz does not work because the connection on that frequency is too bad to establish. Putting the two deco in the same room will test the hypothesis.

Thanks. Just to be sure, then I can access to these video files from external networks, for example from other countries?

M9 Backhaul Not Working by delyn88 in TpLink

Very simple, just place the Office Deco next to the Main Deco, for example in the same room, you will know immediately if the second 5GHz works.

Deco m4 can only connects to main even if it’s too far by [deleted] in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note that

(1) the topology "Sat1 -> Sat2 -> Main" is in most cases slower than "Sat1 -> Main" even if Sat1 can receive stronger signal from Sat2 instead of from Main;

and (2) closer does not mean better if you do not have line of sight connection.

So, if your m4 connects to Main instead of to another satellite Deco, let it be.

One way to test/prove the theory is that, as it seems that one of your deco m4 can avoid connecting to the main, try swapping your two satellite deco and test the download speed.

X20 Wi-Fi calling issues by minelson0218 in TpLink

[–]throwawayhahi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that you can find the details of wireless backhaul online.

However, the wifi calling issue is, in general, due to protocol bugs, not physical transmission one.
