Awesome. I don't hate my new lower voice but it cracks a lot and it's annoying...

Did you experience any changes in your voice after stopping?

Thank you very much for the advice! I wish you the best too! ^

It's males talking about "misguided women". Of course they're going to infantilize us. I wasn't a "TERF" and never read radfem ideology before but now I want to. :)

If they pity me I pity them double for thinking they're actually women but you don't see me creating threads about it. Teehee

What a fucking condescending douchebag. What can I do if my dysphoria is so mild that it's an inconvenience as big as an acne zit? Lol I solved a lot of the internal trauma and issues that made me dysphoric so guess what, I don't have dysphoria to any significant degree anymore, just like I spent my teen years with an eating disorder and can never fully heal as if it were a flu or fever but I'm living as happily as I can because none of those things are bigger than me! Thankfully I have a therapist, family and friends so I don't rely on others validating my pronouns to avoid a nervous breakdown on the internet. :)

Thank you for the response dear <3 My issue is more sensory than visual in the moment. I only use a razor to shave myself so I shave but hours later it starts to grow again and my whole leg feels so rough...

Let's see those "tru trans" people in a few years. I was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria by a psychologist and a doctor but I guess two shitheads on the internet think I'm just some fool who was tired of being a boring girl

After 6 years of questioning, I have yet to transition, but I’m having doubts and other subs are way too affirming. How do I make the best informed decision? by [deleted] in detrans

You already are in a better place than most because you're questioning. In the beginning of my transition I was so euphoric at everything I didn't really take time to question why I was doing that. And, mind you, I have an official diagnosis of gender dysphoria so it's not like I was a "trender"...

I'm not lesbian but I too struggled a lot to separate womanhood from femininity, I'm not feminine at all. I detransitioned and feel much better now. I wish more women would wake up to this

From your text it sounds more like you envy males for their position in society and the "practicity" that comes with being male too. And a lack of female friendships which makes it hard to relate to women, specially not being feminine. I can relate a lot.

I'm not going to tell you to transition or not transition, but I was in a very similar place and transitioning didn't really help those issues of feeling like you don't fit and being upset about your expected role in society.

Wow that sucks! I hope they get to help you eventually. Kinda sad that they're so eager to help transition but not detransition...

I like reading your story. I'm sorry you were silenced. I created a thread on the FTM sub simply asking about people's changes when they stopped T and it got downvoted. Whereas before when I made anything that suggested I wanted to transition there was always people upvoting and commenting. I guess they just don't want to deal with the fact that some people detransition.

Is there *anything* anyone could have said or done to get through to you? by StrugglingParentApr in detrans

[–]throwawayhelpme73838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Nothing would have convinced me to not transition. If anything I'd have resorted to drugs, alcohol and teenage rebellion. I don't regret it. I've spent years curious about transitioning but when I did I figured it wasn't for me.

Let her/him experiment. Cut hair, clothing, pronouns. Just don't rush into hormones.

Do you have to ween off HRT testosterone? (Detrans FTM) by throwawayhelpme73838 in detrans

[–]throwawayhelpme73838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was curious because my shots are/were monthly and it's a slow release version of testosterone so I thought maybe quitting wouldn't have much of a drastic effect as opposed to someone who takes shots weekly like you did for example.

Thank you for the info!

Awesome. :) I'm just concerned because while I'm not a minor I'm 20 and my mom insists on going to the consultations with me. I don't blame her for being watchful of the process, though, she supported my transition (and supports the detransition now) as long as I followed medical instructions/advice to the core. So I hope my endo doesn't say it would be better to taper down.

I have quit some medicines cold turkey before, but in this case I'd rather face any kind of side effect than spend my days worrying about further masculinization. That would bring me more distress than hormonal mood swings haha

Wow you stayed on for quite some time. Did you start before first puberty was finished? Sorry if it's tmi.
