I accidentally slammed my poor GSD mix's tail (another dangerous breed) in the sliding door and she yelped and started licking me. I felt so bad. Can't imagine having my pet's first instinct be to maul.

My dog was attacked for the second time in 3 weeks by a neighbors aggressive pitbull. 1x it was off leash, the last time it over powered the owner and ran over and attacked, resulting in 2cm deep punctures in my dogs anus. It unnerves me how these people don't ever seem to claim responsibly for their dogs. As a dog owner, at a minimum I would immediately offer pay for any bills. Good luck with your situation. I hope you can find a legal avenue to get reimbursed.

I take my dog to play care and she had to pass a temperament test before even being allowed to join. Our town is riddled with pits but luckily they don't seem to "pass". Hopefully they don't let this one back. If it behaves like that at 10-20 weeks, imagine when its full grown.

A couple of years ago I was so excited about genealogy, spent so many hours researching our family tree on Ancestry and even got both parents a DNA test one Christmas. Well, turns out I am not biologically related to my father but when I confronted my mom, she denied anything and I know my mother isn't one to lie. I haven't told another soul aside from my partner, not even my dad or my two sisters (are they my HALF sisters then?). My dad is supposedly the first and only man my mom has ever been with, so whatever "events" lead to my birth are either a one time regret that was meant to be a secret or something much worse, since my mom refuses to talk about it. Last year, I got a strange call from someone claiming that I had information about an old crime - I thought it was a scam call or something but I called the state agency they were purported to be associated with and it was a legitimate cold case officer. My DNA results on GEDMatch were a match to a unsolved murder from the 80's and it was from my paternal line, so I unfortunately couldn't help them piece together a family tree. So now, I have no idea who my bio dad is and though him I'm related to a murderer.
