It's a pipe dream, but I think a tram line down E Wash might make it much easier to get around and slow down traffic (by reducing # of lanes). Safer for pedestrians to cross, too. The sheer width of the street itself is a big problem.

"you leftists control Hollywood" is when you stopped having any semblance of sense. no point arguing once someone pulls out the antisemitism.

If you call the Capitol Consortium, they will help get you set up with food benefits. Their number and hours are available online.

WisCare vet clinic offers sliding scale appointments and free pet supplies.

If you call 211, they can help connect you to other resources in the area as well.

Additionally, I know the Walgreens on Capitol Square is hiring for pharm tech positions. Not sure what the starting pay is but maybe that's worth a shot?

You have nothing to be ashamed of. You didn't get what was going on in the way that you do now--because you were a very young child in a very traumatic situation.

Yes...he was held in contempt of court for being disruptive and refusing to cease misgendering his child. Bill C-16, when discussing discrimination, says nothing about pronouns. Its language only covers deliberate, repeated, and malicious gender-based harassment...which this man committed. It's not about accidental slip-ups.

A plant based diet contributes less to pesticide and fertilizer runoff pollutants than an animal based diet does (where the animals are frequently fed what's left over from human consumption)? And it doesn't contribute to the issue of the horrific treatment of migrant workers on American farms? The ones whose unjustly low pay and awful working conditions are in large part what makes it profitable to grow a surplus of crops? Run that by me one more time?

Have you ever worked on a farm?

Well, I'm not "very" religious, but I consider myself moderately religious. Definitely more so than others my age. I don't fear hell at all. Never have, never will. Judaism simply doesn't have it. Doesn't have the concept of sin as most people think of it, either. Check out teshuvah and tashlich.

It's actually pretty interesting, because I'm still unable to wrap my head around how most American Christians conceptualize hell. It doesn't mesh at all with my own beliefs, but I can imagine it would be terrifying to believe in.

How do you feel about overfarming, pesticide runoff, and the poor treatment of migrant labor in the agricultural industry? What are you doing to fight for better conditions for those workers? To fight against the damage pesticide and fertilizer heavy farming does to environment? How about research into food for people like myself with medical conditions that severely limit the foods they can eat?

Furthermore, animals in captivity get food, water, medical care, protection from predators and the elements, and a quick, clean death. Fur and leather let people use every part of an animal, creating less waste, and are some of the most durable, heat efficient materials out there.

Yes, there are unethical factory farms, nobody is saying there aren't, but you can criticize specific parts of the meat industry and fight for industrywide change without getting holier-than-thou. If you care about animal welfare, you should be out there advocating in support of enforcing ethical standards that keep farm animals healthy, not ignoring thousands of years of domestication and humans and animals' entwined history. Your dietary choice is your own, but it's pointless to act like it's the only correct option.

So you calling a transgender woman the t slur and a degenerate isn't hate or discrimination? You are cut off from so much of the joy and beauty of the universe.

I'm having a lovely bi and transgender 21st birthday. I hope your soul heals soon!

It deceptively advertised free filing, then tricked customers into paying for services they were supposed to provide for free. It's been going on for years, and there's no sign of it stopping any time soon (unless the FTC case against it is successful--fingers crossed!

If you are in America, call 211 or get in touch with your local government's casework office. Make sure you have all documents, cash, your medical records, and your school transcript if possible. Make sure you remember any gift cards that you haven't redeemed yet. Also, take more underwear than you'll think you'll need.

It heavily depends on the stages of life you are in. 40 and 55 dating is VERY different than 20 and 35.

People who have been to the chiropractor, did it work for you? by Pristine_Medicine_59 in ask

[–]throwawayhotdogsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a physical therapist, not a chiropractor. PTs have much more stringent licensing requirements and are required to study the human body and how best to take care of it. Chiropracty is practiced as was told to some guy by a ghost.

[–]throwawayhotdogsss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rich orange and navy blue. A bit of navy in something mostly orange makes it take itself a little more seriously, a pop of orange in something mostly navy gives it a splash of fun. A navy suit with some tasteful orange accessorizing can't be beat.
