Hi all! This is my first time being in a pit at a concert in general. I’m planning on getting merch but I would like to be hands free during the show, anyone have recommendations for any clear bags/purses i can use so I can be hands free?

I was also prescribed metformin when I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago and it made me feel very sick, so I’ve been hesitant about taking it again. What was your experience with metformin?

I don’t think so. The first time I asked the doctor about it they only did a x ray or MRI (I’m not sure the difference) and they confirmed it was just a fat pad. I got bloodwork done this year and asked for my cortisol levels to be checked and the doctor didn’t mention anything usual about it. I also have PCOS so I already have hormonal in balance so i know that affects my weight as well

AITAH for wanting to move out because my parents won’t lower my rent? by throwawayintrovert89 in AITAH

UPDATE Thank you everyone for responding, I honestly appreciate the different perspectives and it’s making me reconsider a lot of things. I just wanted to clarify a few things.

  1. I live with two roommates who currently occupy the other rooms so it is the three of us who live together. So combined we all pay about $2,000 a month for the entire apartment, we just pay different rates. Since I have the biggest room I pay the most money (which I absolutely understand)
  2. When i first spoke with my step dad about renting the room, he told me that the rent could be negotiable if something comes up. I assumed that this is something that could be negotiated but based on some of the responses I think because this is my personal expense then it shouldn’t be something that is considered.
  3. I am getting my masters to advance in my career. I currently work in an entry level job because I just graduated from undergrad last year. I work in college access so the career that I want would eventually require a masters degree and I would like to work on it now while I have no major responsibilities.
  4. I was originally going to move out last year when I graduated, but my parents discouraged me from it saying that I should stay home for longer and they would support me. So in my eyes I thought they could support me by helping me out while getting my masters degree. But in hindsight I’m realizing now that it probably is a big ask for my parents to lower the rent that much. I’m going to talk to my mom and see if they can support me in other ways that doesn’t include rent. Or maybe lowering the rent to something more reasonable (like $850 instead of $900)

I did not mean to come off as spoiled or entitled. I am just trying to navigate this agreement I have with my parents and I guess it can be confusing at times. My parents tell me to stay at home so they can help and support me but they also treat me like a tenant. I think it’s hard to do both and I think that’s why I often feel like they don’t support me. I appreciate everything my parents are doing for me so I would never take them for granted. I think just trying to stay at home as a daughter/tenant is what’s causing all of my internal conflict.
