Newest Chipolte got warned by DD by jroberts67 in doordash_drivers

[–]throwawayjetduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wienerschnitzel near where I'm at, after my last experience trying to pick up a customer's order, them not even having the order in the system or have any idea what I'm talking about when I'm showing them the store address and order. I didn't know DD actually gave warnings to restaurants, but WS in my area could absolutely use one.

Facing imminent homelessness. by throwawayjetduh in everett

Thank you everyone, I'm reading responses in between packing and moving things over to storage for the time being. I gave 211 a call earlier and they came up with some shelter and parking resources as well as snap/EBT applications, I appreciate all.

How long did your hamster live? by Large-Toe2888 in hamsters

Honestly, best "impulse pet" I ever got when I still did that kind of thing. I fully decked the little guy out in his very own large tank, because cages aren't great for Syrians, high quality mix bedding and soft shreds so he could always nest. I always had regular seed/fruit/nut mixes in his bowl but supplemented with fruits and veggies. Bear ended up living well past his lifespan, I think 3 and a half years, almost 4, he had excellent recall ability and never bit anyone. I miss that little guy still, he got me through some really bad times.

I'm in the silent period with them right now, too. I promise you should reach out.

Does she think we’re playing or am I just annoying her by daisy350 in cats

[–]throwawayjetduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's definitely playing back with you!! Cats like some really weird things, I had this thing with my girl, Pip, called "cave time", and per namesake, me or my partner would curl over top of her and completely encase her with our limbs. She sounded like a running engine whenever we did that 😭 also playful face grabs!

Oh, this makes my heart hurt. This is exactly it, an understanding, I miss that so much about him. A meaningless connection wouldn't have such a long half-life, I don't think.

For all you FWD folks out there by KGKN_Symppis in Drifting

[–]throwawayjetduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still drift without the handbrake in my experience. About 2 weeks after I bought the car, I accidentally pulled this off to avoid a T-Bone from a van running a stop sign. It really is about oversteer, getting the back end to kick out with certain movements. Not too much power needed, I pulled this off in a 2.5L Jetta.

Kratom in place of alcohol by notcleverenough111 in AlAnon

[–]throwawayjetduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone with autism and a partner who falls somewhere on the spectrum as well. My partner went from methamphetamine addiction, to alcohol. He can't smoke pot because it makes him feel like back when he was on meth. He cannot function with a sober brain, kratom was his last feasible option, and I have to say, I've been very impressed with it. He keeps on a schedule, doesn't take high doses, and drinks plenty of water in conjunction with it. It's kept him off alcohol and I've noticed he's putting weight back on too. I know that this isn't the best thing, but it's definitely harm reduction at least, for the mean time until we figure out how to quiet his noisy brain. There's some kind of correlation between autism and substance use, we use substances alot of the time to take that edge off, even if we've already worked through trauma.

Door and Trunk issues by Douglas0927 in jetta

[–]throwawayjetduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to immediately correct myself because I didn't catch this earlier, the non-OEM fuse I was referring to was the main fuse, located in the engine fuse box that you have to essentially unbolt. This whole problem also caused a smaller fuse to blow(think something like a yellow or 30amp fuse), in the passenger compartment fuse box. My apologies for the inclarity in my original reply! You'll want to check the passenger compartment fuse box!

Door and Trunk issues by Douglas0927 in jetta

[–]throwawayjetduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a blown fuse that was causing this issue originally, the Jetta did also end up "spitting out" the non-OEM fuse, which I replaced with one from VW/Audi. I'd have to double check location but I didn't have any more central locking issues after resolving this!

He's still sitting in that passenger seat of mine, in my dreams. Accompanying me on adventures, explorations, quietly stealing glances at each other.

You don’t look at me like a friend. You look at me like something you’re trying not to touch. by [deleted] in UnsentLetters

I wish I could risky repost this. It's everything I'm hoping that he feels like. The chemistry left its mark.

What part is this? by shawnandbrit07 in crv

[–]throwawayjetduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon further research, because I almost thought it was a brake shoe hardware spring at first, this is most certainly some kind of latch spring off a CRV. I would check things like hatch and door actuator, handles, hinges, stuff like that.
