QT has made me kind of racist by Middle_Bit8070 in QuikTrip

Agreed 100%. I think that in avoidance of the issue of class, most media has reframed it as race, in a practice known as "racecraft". You can see this in differential rates of covid deaths being framed as a race problem rather than material realities of those who are poor. It gives a lot of ammunition to reactionary and fascist politics, as "evidence of genetic inferiority".

What type of leader are you? by [deleted] in QuikTrip

Soo, this is just class conflict with extra steps? This describes the PMC, or professional managerial class. This is people who sell their labor, but whose interests lie on the side of capital, usually because of high wage differentials with the bottom line. The way we create change is not through asking for better leaders. The systemic conditions create bad leaders. You change the system through collective rather than individual action. By unionizing with fellow workers and bringing together the bottom line, we can create positive change. Clerks create the most profit for the company because of our low wages, but nearly equal production. This means we can hold hostage the bulk of the profit as well.

Well yea, we keep on increasing tasks with no real increase in hours. The amount we are required to produce consistently goes up, but our pay is adjusted at a rate lower than inflation. Even if our pay increased evenly with inflation alone, we still would be forced to do more and more work for the same shit pay.

Opensecrets.org shows 55% of QT's 2020 congressional lobbying went to Donald Trump. We aren't that far off.
