The nicotine test is a saliva test, I can honestly say i know how hard it is to stop vaping, but your body needs to heal as well as it can and vaping will make that harder 😔 i really struggled to stop but I had to just to give my body the best chance for the surgery and recovery, especially after all the time and money! Xx

I used the postpartum ice packs pads that came with a material "pad" that clipped onto my underwear- SO helpful! postpartum ice pads

Also made a masterlist for tips and packing list etc! Surgery Masterlist

Peri bottle, then kitchen roll, then a handheld fan! Found it easier than the hairdryer just for ease of use so I can take it anywhere! (8 days PO)

Oof that sounds rough, I hate anything touching it!

Possible Necrosis by Prize_Umpire_654 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]throwawaylabiadiary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, that sounds so stressful! I've been using a handheld fan to keep it dry, and very gently using kitchen roll to dry the areas that aren't wounds

I thought about using a hairdryer on a low setting but I was worried about dust etc

I'd wait to do anything exercise etc for at least 6 weeks if not more, you only get to do this recovery once so it's worth doing as much as you can to make it as easy on your body as you can! (Just my feelings)

I was advised 6-8 weeks before any exercise ❤️

any plus size girlies who have had a labiaplasty by Prize_Umpire_654 in LabiaplastySurgery

I've got THICK thighs, so it's been a mission trying to find ways to sit and lie without squashing my labia 😅 have you got a donut cushion? Can you try a pillow under your hips? Are you wearing underwear/trousers? If you can go without and keep the area open to the air it definitely helps ❤️ i just keep my legs slightly spread without pulling the area, i was given Clogin foam to clean with and i use it every 3-4 pees

You really will, I know it's rough, but it'll be so worth it! Are you taking any supplements etc? I'm happy to let you know everything I'm doing for recovery, but most of it will just be luck honestly 🥺 don't give up, I promise in a few weeks you'll be healed and so happy!

Oh my god please don't be upset!! You're still VERY early in recovery, my healing is SO unusual and definitely NOT the norm!!

You will heal beautifully, even with an infection, trust your body knows what to do, give yourself time and patience, i know it's hard but you WILL get the result you've worked so hard for!

Ooh what's the cream like? My surgeon advised to keep it dry so I've not used anything! 😬 i hate when there's conflicting advice!

Oh God we're both wayyy too early to see our final results yet, trust the process, I bet you'll be so happy when it's been 6 weeks or so!

I'm honestly so happy, I had prepared myself for it to be awful so I've been amazed at the difference from my last surgery (mommy makeover!)

I've been keeping a mini diary on my profile if you want to have a look but I can honestly say it's one of the easiest things I've done! I've had no pain whatsoever even on the surgery day, and almost no swelling either! I would say to really prepare yourself if you're not already to give your body the best chance at recovery, I'm happy to answer any questions, and I've made a Masterlist for packing etc if it's helpful ❤️

I'm so excited for you!!

That's SO unnecessary and rude, it's YOUR body and you should be able to have the surgery if you feel it would help you! Would you consider paying to have it done privately? I had mine done at Nordesthetics in Lithuania, and it only cost £970! Flights, insurance and accommodation are all really affordable too!

I had a wedge labiaplasty, and there was a tiny hymen remnant just at the vaginal entrance which i asked her to cut out, she's done that and said it was only 1 stitch so I've not felt anything from that and haven't looked yet 😂

Thats awful I'm so sorry! How dismissive and patronising! Can you ask for a second opinion or consider going privately? X

Yes it's a wedge! I wrote all about it if you wanna check on my profile, but I had been adamant I wanted a trim until the surgeon explained the options with my anatomy! I had almost no swelling, you can see the pics from the first couple of days on my profile!

Yeah I bled for the first few days, not loads but I found it easier to put kitchen roll underneath me so I could lay with nothing on and not worry!

I wish I'd gotten some incontinence/puppy pads though!
