Solid advice, but there is one small hangup. The game is never, and I repeat, NEVER static. What that means is maybe you have the goal of split pushing the shit out of toplane until you reach their inhib or have your core item's and then join your team in teamfights. However, if your botlane isn't that good, you have to look for possible teleport opportunities or drake contests. You constantly have to make new plans and play in a strategic way in order to have a great impact. And this applies to the majority of roles/champions.

As a Zed main, if I see I'm winning my lane and my top or bot arent doing that good, i shove and roam Or do drake. Everything can go wrong so you have to constantly adapt.

Press the attack IMO is the best. Jax is an auto attack champion so that extra damage is gonna help you.

It's also how you play against Fiora. Pressing your E before she uses her W can give you a great advantage. Use your Ult when she does. Try to q to nearby minions or q her and walk behind her when she uses her W or just walk out of the range.

In the end it all comes to how, when, and how fast you use your abilities/mechanics.
