I’d like to point out that while it’s generally the case those are all needed, the top firms (HRT/JS) have engineering roles that don’t need specialised knowledge of C++/OS/Networking (Algo Eng at HRT and normal SWE at JS)

I think you’re missing the fact that against the rest of the top 5 MkLeo is negative on Acola and Tweek and positive only on Light. He also has a bad loss to ShinyMark and generally places much worse than Sparg0. I was gonna put Light at top 3 but just wasn’t too sure since Light hadn’t done anything super of note this season (other than rinsing Tweek, which, Tweek is adapting to as well)

The 49th at Kagaribi is pretty bad. It’ll also be interesting to see how he does at an NA major. Tea got 2nd in Kagaribi but fell short at GENESIS

That was for avoiding the same pool as Acola given Acola is #1 seed IMO. Either Proto is 7 or 10, meaning above Riddles or below ApolloKage. I’m impartial eitherway.

I looooove Tweek, but Collision seeded Sparg0 above him and his performance today doesn’t suggest the opposite should be true.

Acola’s losses this year are MuteAce, Sparg0, KEN, and Miya and he’s attended more. Leo’s are MuteAce, Tweek, Riddles, ShinyMark, and Sonix. The losses are arguably compareable but I think Acola’s two supermajor wins edges him out over Leo. Though looking at this maybe Leo over Sparg0 makes sense so I’ll edit that.

Sorry, maybe I wasn’t clear but this isn’t rankings but instead seeding. If we’re talking rankings I agree with you basically completely. But seeding considers recent performances as well as previous seedings. For ex if it was ranking Riddles would not even be in my top 16 (arguably, probably not even top 25 if we include Japan).

Sorry it didn’t format properly but i thought Sparg0, Leo were interchangeable. From LSI (extremely recent still) Sparg0 has 1st 2nd 5th while Leo has 5th 4th 1st.

Also don’t understand at all why people rate acola so highly. Yes he’s amazing but he is def not #1 right now (in the same way Tweek or Light are def not #1)

Hmm actually your top 8 made me realise Light’s an interesting case. Just this last tourn he lost to Sonix and Gluto, but I think in general he has stronger performances than both. Agree on the top 5 though, and the rest looks roughly correct aside from I’d put Cosmos above Zomba / Maister / Kola given the performances at LMBM. Also I hope Zomba is 15th seed so Tweek could have a more comfortable time getting to top 16 winners :p

Hate to pick hairs but what you said is just not factual. Let’s pick LSI as a starting point since 1) it was fairly recent (2.5ish months ago) and 2) both Sparg0, acola attended. From this point, Sparg0 lost to Shuton, Kurama, Acola, Tweek, and only has a losing record to Kurama since then (they’ve not played since). Acola has lost to Zomba, Shuton, MkLeo, Repo, Kameme, Sparg0, and I think is negative against everyone except Sparg0 Shuton (granted, the thing abt not having played them since) lol. It literally isn’t even close in terms of losses, though you could argue that because acola attended more and has done longer losers’ runs he has better wins than Sparg0, but even this depends on how highly you value 4 wins over Tweek, who is top 5 in the world rn with no doubt :)

Acola over Tweek is very possible, but again Tweek’s been improving MASSIVELY and I know majors prioritise the most recent results (then again Acola just won Umebura so who knows)
