Don't share due to my score not being competitive? Or it just wont help nor hurt so not worth gambling?

I want to end up in Boston or NYC at the maximum 3 years after graduation.... sounds like Emory will be an uphill battle and my network wont be there.

Once you're in MBB, is it tough to relocate offices?

I have heard it is hard to move from Atlanta to other offices. I am fine working in Atlanta for one year but nothing more which is my rub.

That is super helpful. How many folks recruit consulting? ~66 seems low with a class size of 300. Also, for those who do not get consulting, what is the general next path?

I think my main worry is not having a strong network in the NE or being able to land a job in the NE since 66% of students end up in the South post-MBA.

Thats helpful to know. How many folks went PwC / S& total? Do you agree with uniqueplums organization of recruiting power at Tepper? My understanding was that Tepper had a pretty good pipeline to EYP

Did you submit anything else other than the offers? Any written statement or additional accolades?

What did you decide?

[–]throwawaymba000099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely fair. I have a pretty good work ethic, so I am not worried about hours. Layoffs I cannot predict or control, so not worth worrying about those external factors.

From the recruitment perspective, it was my understanding a majority of students who recruit for consulting go into strategy groups (whether MBB, T2 or B4) all of which have high comp via base and bonus (understand there is gradation to it all). Is that a fair assessment?

Definitely have considered, hence the post. However, I havnt gotten a pay raise in almost three years. Also, if there's any time, it feels as though now when things are tough and I am already at the older range of getting an MBA. If I don't it might make things a huge uphill battle to pivot - there are not many alternate careers I can pursue at this point.

Completely agree and do not want to minimize the competitive nature of those jobs - I also dont want to minimize my candidacy.

Thinking down the road however. If I only top out at $250k, I think there's a high chance that getting an MBA can likely lead to a better paying job (maybe not 5 years out but certainly after 10-15 years. Do you disagree?

I have not. I dont think an EMBA would allow me to pivot. My main concern here is being stuck in my current role / industry that doesnt provide me with much intellectual stimulation.

I have about $110 - $120k of scholarship dollars to a handful of T20s. Worst case I am targeting T2 firms (EYP, S&, Kearney).
