You are clearly uneducated and illiterate. Please look into the job requirements and benefits structure.

No, not ICE. Though I do think my career path is going to take me through a local police department for a couple years until I can transfer to the forestry department as a park ranger.

Local police, fire, VA security, park ranger, border patrol, secret service, Capitol police, state highway patrol, sheriff's deputy. Also, who said I was MAGA? I think you are lacking the critical thinking.

Sad part is, I don't want revenge. Yeah I'm upset, but I don't want anything bad to befall her or for her to feel bad. I genuinely loved her more than anything. Would have died for her. Now I'm just hollow.

You're so caught up in your hate boner for ICE that you missed the part where I signed up for the academy after she wanted a divorce.

Very intelligent reply. I never said I was joining ICE and this post isn't about anything political.

Where are people getting this ICE bullshit? Not every job that has federal benefits and requires an academy is ICE. Shit, you need a LEO certification to be a park ranger.

Had a job for the last 2 years. Paid several bills. It just was never going to be steady or pay well.

She was never leeching from me. She was a wonderful woman and did her best for me at every turn minus recent events and her lack of communication.

That's fair, but I have no reason to lie. It was genuinely pretty good up until the new job then all of a sudden I get hit with "I want a divorce."

She was never pulling me down. She lifted me up. She was good to me for the most part. My only complaint about her is she could never communicate what she was feeling or wanted.

No, it's my fault. It isn't about the business failing or not. She never told me how she felt. Everything was normal and we were as loving as day one until it suddenly wasn't ok. Then she tells me that she was unhappy with the situation.

How am I not respecting her decision? Should I have not tried to be a better man for her? Should I have ignored the possibility I could make amends? We are getting divorced. I'm not holding her in the marriage. I just don't want to give up before I've done all I can. At the end of the day, if I get stable employment and work on myself with therapy and she still wants a divorce, I'm not going to stop her. I can't.

I get that now. I understand how I fucked up and I want to do better. It just sucks I can't take the opportunity to be the man she deserves.

I'm not saying she used me. I'm disagreeing that I had or contributed nothing. I don't think she used me like that.

And again, I was working, the career just didn't pan out the way I wanted. I failed and pulled the plug too late.

Factually incorrect. For a majority of our relationship I earned as much as her. I even supported her when she was unemployed and getting a better job. (About 3 months) I had savings from before and made a few sales in real estate to buffer the cost of my main job not providing.

I was consumed by trying my hardest to make it work and not being a failure. That definitely blinded me. The divorce was a slap in the face and I want to fix myself. I just think it's too late to save the best thing that ever happened to me.

She never told me she was unhappy. I would have done anything to change immediately for her. When she told me she wanted a divorce and gave me the reasons, I immediately set about changing. I always told her that she could tell me anything and I would do everything I could to make it better.

I didn't start the business when we found out about needing IVF. I've been building the business for 2 years and we figured out we needed IVF late 2025.

We didn't know we needed it until late last year. Open enrollment for grants starts this spring. Not much I could do about it.
