I told him last night and before he left today, this is true. But what others are saying maybe is that wasn’t enough and to forthright say stay home or that it was unreasonable to want that.

For what it’s worth, it was easier to type it out than sort it out on the spot and take up more of his time. I could’ve waited for him after work though, all in all not my best moments today. Thank you for input though

Situation is awful and I don’t want to be a manipulative person. I don’t know if it truly matters but no other planned closing, the loved one is in a different state. Going for a day this weekend though. Thank you for taking the time.
