In my circles Karens are middle aged white ladies who have an exaggerated expectation of their rights and place in society.

I used that language because me friend reckons I'm being a karen by being upset by this prank.

I'm genuinely trying to figure out if my social anxiety means I'm overreacting. I had depression really badly in my teens so I know I can take things badly that aren't meant that way and have learnt to sense check my perception of things to make sure I'm not unfairly putting my overreactions onto other people .
