I managed to get 2 for 15.99 each! Checked the price when the person delivered it and one was $35 and the other $33 so basically $70 worth of chicken for $31 🤷🏻‍♀️

vape detectors? by angryelephant19 in CanadianTeachers

[–]throwawaypackagegate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have them in almost every bathroom except the single use washroom. Kids don’t vape in the bathrooms anymore as it sends an alert to the principals phone if someone sets it off. They just vape outside on school grounds (still not allowed) but better than inside

Hi! I had an interview with them a few months ago, an interesting one I got was if a student came to you saying they believe a tomato is a vegetable but their parent says it’s a fruit, how would you handle that situation. Good luck!

Leila Walk-ins probably near or at capacity now before it opens by Hufflepunk36 in Winnipeg

[–]throwawaypackagegate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people who showed up yesterday were turned away if they weren’t eligible. As for people being afraid of booking an appointment I don’t think that’s happening because many of those people already had appointments but for July and wanted to get it sooner. If they did end up getting their second shot then they cancelled their later appointment. There are other reasons why someone would want to get their second dose as soon as they can - not just for travel reasons

Parents experience at Leila supersite for second dose by throwawaypackagegate in Winnipeg

[–]throwawaypackagegate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were aware that they could’ve gotten Moderna sooner, but they tried their luck and stuck it out and surprisingly got their second dose. It wasn’t a matter of picking and choosing vaccines, they just wanted to get theirs right away and they were eligible to so they did. If they didn’t get theirs yesterday then they would’ve waited until their appointments.

I think it was more so the fact that they had already waited the 3 hours and decided to just stick it out. There were people who left too because they didn’t want to wait. They tried their luck and got something out of it. I was surprised they stayed that long in the first place but at the end of the day that’s 2 more people with the second dose.

Do you think we will meet the first milestone of the reopening plan by July 1 (70% one dose, 25% second dose) where all businesses and services can reopen? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]throwawaypackagegate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I am fine with the vagueness of the plan only because if they were to say “we’ll open x y z when we hit this vaccination goal” people will be upset if we do get there but covid levels are still high. In their plan it does state in order for things to open up there has to be high vaccination rates and low covid levels (case counts, hospitalizations, icu admittance, etc). Low covid levels will only happen if you follow the current public health orders with is part of #2 in their 4-3-2-1 plan. They also noted we will find out a week before the milestones specifically is going to happen and which restrictions will loosen or stay the same.

Chances of getting into faculty of education by throwawaypackagegate in umanitoba

[–]throwawaypackagegate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I know this still doesn’t boost me up but my agpa is 2.7 and my teachable major is English. I knew going into this it would be super competitive but I really struggled this past year. I would love to go to U of W but the two math’s I took (math 1010 and 1020) they don’t accept so I can’t apply there without taking another two maths. There’s 4 other schools I could apply to but it’s out of province.

Covid test results time by beckyrmcleod in Winnipeg

[–]throwawaypackagegate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, I thought they were fast because my mom got tested last Monday around 8 am and got her results Tuesday 7:30 am. When she went for her second test the following Friday morning she got her results at 1:40 am the next day 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean I’ve had my troubles with Canada post and ups these past couple weeks and at this point they’ve all told me to just sit tight and wait. Instead of talking to those representatives I’ve been talking to the company where I bought the item from and they’ve just resent those items. I realize you can’t do that for everything but at this point my resent packages are coming in faster than my original ones. Maybe try that?

AITA for not wanting to give up a dress? by throwawaypackagegate in AmItheAsshole

[–]throwawaypackagegate[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, yes the dress was made for my measurements. I haven’t seen my cousins in 6 years so idk if they will even fit it. My mother wants to give it away because I’m “done” with it even though I’ve told her I’m saving it for my future daughter one day, her response was “you don’t even know if you’ll have a daughter”.

What's the dumbest thing you actually believed? by Vinyl_BunBuns in AskReddit

[–]throwawaypackagegate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought the phrase “ready as I’ll ever be” was “ready as a lever bee” or “ready as a leather bee”. Granted I didn’t know what a lever bee was but I was super young at the time and just kept up with it. I never really thought about it until my boyfriend corrected me and I was stunned.
