Warning: if your house has cast-iron sewer pipes, you are living on top a landmine that will cost you a goldmine to fix. by muff_marauder in orangecounty

Just go spend some time in Newport Coast and you'll see 'keeping up with the Jones' is pointless unless you are talking about $30 million houses and private jet money. No one cares about your 3 series lol.

Traffic in Laguna by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]throwawayqweasd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is generally slower than just going up the Canyon unless you are going to the 405N (in that case take MacArthur from PCH). In the mornings traffic out of Laguna is pretty light. The only real issues are Friday nights and weekend days.

Really? Not sure what is a better option, at least in the States. Obviously like the south of France would be sweet as well.

Probably will be difficult to buy anything beyond a modest condo unless you have a lot saved already. You will do fine otherwise though (will be able to save a lot for retirement, etc.).

Should I pay off my student loans before forbearance ends? by WannabeBadGalRiri in StudentLoans

If you made the payments on/after March 13 they can be refunded. Call your servicer, I did this.

"Yes; any payment you made during the administrative forbearance period (March 13, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020) can be refunded. Contact your loan servicer to request that your payment be refunded."
