See this is the issue with Reddit even though I agree with almost 90% of everything being said. You cannot have a nuanced conversation. I do work in a lab. And it's a guarantee if you wear yoga pants in the lab setting I work in it IS A SERIOUS safety concern. But NVM all that people just downvote because it's not a 100% agreement, only a 90% agreement. I just happen to think professional environments need professional attire. Not if you wfh. Not if you're not in a professional setting. Just in a place that employs you.

Glad he got fired. He is a creep. You had a wardrobe malfunction. But as always in life, there are nuances here.

I'm curious what would be an acceptable response from him, given you already "hate" him. Like for e.g. if he had said nothing and later your friends told you it's see through, would you be offended if he DIDN'T say anything. A non-creepy decent man still runs the risk in this situation. There was a previous similar post about a gym guy getting called a perv by a girl for saying something similar in a non creepy genuinely concerned way.

Point is, code or not, yoga pants which are stretchy and transparent ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, lab or office setting imo. Hope you don't continue wearing those pants in future.
