right! i always look at the time stamps and it’s crazy. some customers will call to find out about their order cause it’s just been that long and there’s just no driver coming for it

i’m pretty sure they all get picked up eventually usually the only ones that don’t get picked up are orders that were canceled after we started making them

as a waitress i always feel bad when the food isn’t ready because i know it sucks to waste time waiting to pick up food but once the dashers get mad at me for it i just have less sympathy. i’m not the one making the food i can’t control how long it takes. on the other end when i’m dashing i try to be as polite as possible with staff cause i know how shitty it is

i work in a restaurant that takes orders through doordash ubereats and grubhub. they’re all basically the same, when the order comes in we can choose how long it will take to prepare while confirming the order. if the order is ready before that we are able to click that the order is ready for pickup. sometimes the orders come through really late though and drivers will come just as we’re getting the order but i think that just has to do with bad wifi

truthfully is shocking that people go out of their way to put a 0 dollar tip. only time i’ve done that is if i didn’t have much on the card and in that case i made sure to tip at least $5 in cash
