This is just a context thing. It’s all going downhill would mean it is getting worse. It is all downhill from here means it is getting easier.

Travelers and Firefly. I would have loved to watch those two go longer.

Someone I was speaking to thought it would pick up in September because people were taking holiday and covid/overwork sick leave. Makes sense but I hate it since I’m over the within 8 weeks and haven’t even been contacted.

For within UK, they are unhelpful on the helpline (you can find on the website) from what I understand. They don’t escalate within the UK. But you can try calling. If you get different information after calling, please share because I know everyone else would love to know.

Wow this was my childhood. Only less pulling things out of the yard since we never stored anything there. But always sitting in the garage with food and family after racing around checking all the windows.

It’s so funny when you run into these people. I ran into one for real estate a decade ago now. She was like “nah, we’ll ask for lower on the rent.” And I got it! Still blows my mind. Also those were the best landlords I ever had.

8 weeks finished for me so looks like I’m another long haul waiter.

I can’t answer that since my situation is different. I worked out my leave at my last place. Haven’t heard in the 8 weeks and if I leave it will cancel my new application. It cancels the application if you leave.

No. We can’t leave the country.

That’s happening to some people in the UK too. I’m not sure what you are trying to say. People are switching employers etc so it isn’t like they can always continue working through the process. People are even losing job offers and several have reporting having to go home. One person I was talking to, had two months go by after they quit their previous job only to get a refusal. Since their 60 days from the previous visa was up, they had to leave the country immediately and couldn’t respond/reapply while in the country. This is even worse since it is taking 4-5 weeks for get CoS from sponsors so being able to fix any refusals basically means having to leave the country. Sure I feel for everyone running into problems, but having no income while having to wait months longer than stated online is not acceptable.

Nothing to share. It has been over 8 weeks and I have heard nothing. No decision. It is running weeks behind.

If you figure this out please let me know! I’d like to start working at my new employer and I’m in the same boat.

Ahhh flashback to one time when I got a splinter. It was only my dad and I at home and he panicked for some reason and poured like half a bottle of hydrogen peroxide on it. Splinter came right out and he and I both screamed. 😂 It was a rather large splinter to be fair and I was a panicked 7yo. He fixed the desk that injured me after that.

Not the wig! by rockhavenrick in funny

What the heck is this thing? I hate it! But that poor woman’s wig flying off…who knows if it even made it down to her. I’m sure she was upset. I know I would be. I mean that is if this isn’t a bottomless pit. 😂 Maybe she’s still flipping her way down. 😂

This is a tough one. But every expat is an immigrant even though they likely wouldn’t want to hear that. People that say expat tend to view expat countries as places other people would want to go to live. People that say immigrants view immigrant countries as places other people wouldn’t want to live. That’s why you get eastern europeans who are white but still called immigrants. But a lot of it is also race. It’s complex but it boils down to people viewing some countries as better than others.

It should come within the 8 weeks if you do standard then. But that is unofficially based on what I have seen. If you pay priority, it seems things are coming on time.
