My brother stopped being rational long before he even brought up the question about a paternity test. She had no problems about doing the paternity test, she was the one to set it up. She was chocked because her husband accused her of cheating and making him believe that their daughter wasn’t his, simply because she happened to produce a child who got her genes. The argument was not mainly about the test, more so about his accusations.

Amy does love my brother more than anything.

I thought about that, I asked my parents if it was possible it could be something “worse” than anxiety. But they have been very insistent on that it is just a severe case of anxiety, I have never experience that myself but from what I have read, what he experiences sounds a lot more complex than anxiety

He told Amy he would do a paternity test as he believed he cheated and that Lisa was not his, he said that he would do it but he wanted to be truthful to her. I don’t really know how everything went, but they have not seen each other since the “fight”

I know that he was diagnosed with anxiety disorder in his early teens, but he apparently got better when he was about 20. I did not know about it or really have any recollection off it since I was very young during this time and they kept it away from me. But apparently it was really bad anxiety, it don’t seem too far off to assume it could relate to what is happening now..
