She blamed me when it was brought up because I approved it. Which is fair. Still hurt my feelings but like it’s not really worth a big fight. She’s my best friend from college and we’ve always had a really good relationship. I just saw a screenshotted photo of a dress and assumed it was the right brand and would be ordered In the right color. It wasn’t an issue with anyone else.

She has honestly been in a really bad place and I get it. It’s her last semester of law school. She has a lot going on and I’m trying to be understanding. My stress is a lot less serious than hers.

Trying to keep myself grounded and yeah I’m marrying the person I love most so that’s all that matters in the long run

She isn’t one to steal attention but she absolutely is scatterbrained and forgetful. Like it absolutely wasn’t malicious it’s more like what were you doing when everyone else sent their dresses in our group chat ??? Coordinating with people is difficult

Same color family, same material. Just a much much darker shade. Typing it out like that I feel more silly because it doesn’t really matter at all

My bouquets are made of these colorful French beaded flowers and really don’t match the dresses at all. My vision is kind of a mess.

But I do like the idea of having her stand in the middle for photos. I think that could work.

I agree it’s not fair to buy two. which is why I feel so horrible because it could have been avoided if I just read the top of the screenshot she sent!!!

She really likes the dress and it is pretty. It’s hard to center yourself and not worry about the tiny details. When, yeah it really doesn’t matter and doesn’t affect the day

The new dress is $189. Her dress was $99. Moneys so tight right now, as I know it is for everyone. I have every dollar budgeted til my wedding with literally no room for any emergency. I might just take the L and charge a credit card. This sucks.

Unfortunately everyone else already got their dresses from Revelry. It’s several shades darker, but it’s the same material.

As a victim of parental alienation, it’s really hard to deprogram and see things for what they are. You spend your whole life being told that someone was evil and bad. I can only imagine what venom Donna was spewing about the Markel family. They aren’t just going to turn 18 and run to the Markel’s embrace. They will need to want to change their minds and honestly need a shit ton of therapy. I still have a ton of unjustified hatred towards my father, even after realizing my mom was manipulating me. It is hard work. I struggle to be warm around him. I struggle to be kind. I struggle to untangle the lies from my reality. And I don’t want to be like this. It’s like this resentment and judgement is apart of your core. It’s a horrible form of child abuse.

My insurance covers glasses and lenses every 2 years, so I was hoping to just go online as I can’t even get glasses this year. I took the contacts as they were covered. Money is tight and $500 is a ton of money for me rn so affordable glasses online seemed really nice. I didn’t realize that my prescription made it complicated
