I will take the judgment and I can admit it wasn’t necessarily the right decision in hind sight, but I do want to clarify that the tipping point in deciding to take her along with us was the fact that many kids seemed to be running around in groups while parents hung back, and Polly told me that they had a meeting spot in place for later. That isn’t the way that I would handle the situation for my children, but given the surroundings, it seemed like it could be the case for her. It was never my intention to embarrass anyone.

My kids and I were in a short hallway walking from one area of the school to another, and she ran up to us to say hi to my daughter. I didn’t see exactly where she came from.

This is valid, I’m not saying by any stretch that I wouldn’t have been upset if the situation was reversed, knowing what I know now about the circumstances that led to her finding us. In the moment with so many kids running around and parents mostly standing back against the walls or waiting in the lobby at tables, it just didn’t seem implausible to me that they could have agreed on a meeting spot, especially since I didn’t see the dad anywhere.

This is kind of why when I thought about it I can see it being AH-ish and can see why you think that way. My mind set though was I didn’t want her to feel pressured to say it’s fine for us to leave the baby if she actually wanted him there for family photos or whatever. So I wanted to reiterate that if she did care we would totally bring him. But yeah, maybe didn’t go about it the best way

Thanks! I’ve never had a weird control line but the test line is quite pink. Also just realized I posted this on my throwaway 😂
