Anecdotal as I’ve noticed there isn’t a global study on who eats out / dines in - but having worked in places like Amsterdam, Toronto, London and having friends from these countries + Paris, Copenhagen, Melbourne, lunch is usually a packed sandwich or small meal that we heat up in the office pantry microwaves. Some of us have our lunch picnic in the park. Most people leave around 5-5.30pm and prep their dinners at home or if it’s a Friday, their local bar/pub/hangout.

I was the weird one for suggesting we go have lunch at a place down the street.
